These are just bonded or some other contrivance or bastardization of REAL leather? And the seller-- he's just a liar trying to fool his prospective customers.

Is there a columbia logo on it?

yes... but not noticeable.... it is hidden behind the belt itself after you put it through the loop.... and I had to look for it after you asked

Is the buckle removable?

I have it here in my hand and as far as removing the buckle it would be possible but then what? It can't be reattached without some form of fastener. The ones it came with look to be a plastic stitch sewn through the leather. You could rivet it or have a cobbler stitch it.
