Would this work for a higher carpeted floor to a lower wooden floorboard?

No as these are made for wood floors the lip would break on carpet after a while as it is only thin and needs to be supported.

How does fixing track fit to the floor base. Are screws supplied?

Double sided tape, no screws provided.

How would I fix this to quarry tiled floor?

There is a plastic channel to push it into however this is quite tricky so I used expanding foam. Gripfil or CT1 would be just as good.

Great finish to our laminate flooring
