I have a Buffalo/Bison couch and wondering if I can use this to condition the leather furniture?

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! It is the BEST!!!! I have saddles made of buffalo and an Italian leather chair I use it on!!!!! Definitely worth every penny!!!!! Just get the small round sponges that fit in the tub, You will love it!!!!!

Question 2

After conditioner dries, does leather return to original color? It just darken a pair of expensive boots so you can't see stitching

I used the effax cleaner and then the balm, a day or so later on my (expensive, as well as sentimentally valuable) Mullholland Bros bridle leather briefcase/satchel.  No discoloration at all. It’s good stuff imho. I went on to use the two products on all kinds of other leather stuff like my wallets and dress shoes, and some of my mother’s  handbags/purses. With that said, the best results for a leather cleaning product tgat I personally have ever used were from Coach—incredible, but just too expensive for me to continue to use on a regular basis. But, yeah, whatever Coach was using was simply amazing. Still, I’m quite happy with Effax, and no—no discoloration on anything I’ve used it for.

Does the final result look glossy or matte?

It really depends on how much you use, and the type of leather. Matte leather, with a thin coat/ thin use stayed matte for me,  albeit a tad darker. "Shiny" leather like on pieces of a western saddle positively SHINES. If I used a lot on a matte leather, it would be super shiny too. Very little goes a looong way  - but refrain from use on suede (unless its dire). Suede didn't like the stuff much.

how do you apply it to leater how long to wait etc?

I applied by hand. Makes a wonderful hand lotion for chapped winter hands. I just rub it in and leave it.
