Comparable to gormet alternatives
I've been buying expensive packs of blended blooming tea, it got too hard on my wallet, so I started looking for a different brand that I could afford. This, honestly, tastes way better than the bitter spinach I was getting. The major reason I drink this tea is the health benefits, I have Lupus, which does not like my liver. The herbs in these blends are potent antiinflammatories, with other benefits. Amaranth is even a pain killer. My sister sent me a tea set with a canister of a different brand, and it worked miracles. None of the other brands I tried could work the same. This one does. I have had trouble with the flowers blooming and detaching, because I don't brew them correctly to make that happen. But it's still not as much as the expensive brands- most of the time those NEVER bloom- I have to take a fork to them. These always blossom without fail. The trick to making them pretty is to not fill the teapot higher than the flower will blossom, and very slowly pour just-under-boiling water over the bulb, try not to let it tumble around in the pot. I don't drink them for the aesthetic, so it doesn't bother me. Also, keep in mind, all blooming tea takes at least 15min to bloom. Unlike bagged or loose tea, which takes 2-7min to steep. When the water starts to turn amber, after an hour or so (the fuller the pot the longer it can go), take the flower out. Let the flower cool before putting it into a mostly fresh, half filled, pot. Fill it the rest of the way, slowly. Keep some of the old tea in the pot when you refill it, the flower will steep easier. You can fill the pot higher than the first batch, since the flower is already water logged and should sink to the bottom. Using water that is well passed boiling temperature, or has simmered for an extended period of time, will cause the tea to be bitter, and Jasmine will turn into spinach. Too cool of water will cause the flower to not, or take for ever to, bloom. If it does, the flavor will be very weak, and Jasmine will taste like spinach. Low quality Jasmine leaves will always taste like spinach. Believe it or not, green tea and green tea blends from China are usually the highest quality, comparable to only Japan. They have been cultivating and brewing it for at least 5,000 years. The west world only started drinking it very recently, and our growers do not have the same respect. We don't have the same history with it. Not noble, medicinal, or ritualistic. Our relationship has been exoticism and capitalism. I see a lot of people refuse to buy green tea from China, but that is a flavor-fatal mistake. That's like refusing to buy wine made in Italy. Contamination scares are reasonable, but not founded, when it comes to tea.

Amazing flavors. Make sure you have a tea pot ment for loose leaf tea. They are amazing and potent. Easy to use and taste great!

For the Tea Lovers
I am always looking for a good tea and was surprised to come across these blooming tea flowers. This is such a cool product especially being able to see them blossom in my glass tea kettle. The flowers are tightly woven into a ball in the packaging, they are individually wrapped and labeled letting you know what is inside. Once the boiling process starts, the flower slowly begins to unravel and blooms into a colorful bouquet. I love that you can use them more than once, I have been refrigerating them after use to prolong the flavor and quality of the blooms between use. I have only used them twice after opening so I am not sure how long they last. The flavors are present but not really strong, I feel like the taste of green tea is prevalent more than anything. Visually this is really fun and I love the flavor of the tea.

Nice light flavors.
Delicious mild tasting teas. Fun to watch flowers open.

quality
These individual bunches of straw flowers are very nice. Be careful because they are delicate and could easily break if not gentle. They look just as the picture. There is no flavor (although I won't be eating them to find out) and there is no scent because they are dried flowers. They are a nice touch to a centerpiece arrangement.

I LOVE these! ๐
I bought these for my first time because I love the way my rose tea taste and thought I look for some other "flowery" tea flavors. I saw these and thought they looked pretty and fun. They had a good variety, and I also love Jamsine tea. My daughter had given me one of the little glass tea pots years ago and never knew what to use it on. Not only did I try some lovely tasting tea, but I got to use my pot!๐ They open up so beautiful. However, not all of them stay sitting on the bottom of the pot. Some of them float. That's mostly on the ones with small flower set up. They are very easy to make. I just sweeten with a little maple syrup and a little honey. Let it steep for about 10 mins and serve. I will order again.
