Delivery experience: I had originally received an used/open product, still working and not defective, just the seals were open and a few usage scratches on the screen guard. Amazon refused to help me and asked to contact the seller. But the seller was very responsive and sent me a replacement from their end. So, kudos to the seller. Product: The device has completely given my old car a transformation in terms of both functionality and looks inside the cabin. For this price? It's an absolute steal !! And no need to replace the old headunit/stereo of the car. Installation: Pretty easy installation, just like a phone mount. Some people in other reviews said the provided double side sticker is not as powerful but it was pretty powerful for me. Because I tried to remove it as I had left a screw loose in the bottom which helps with the 360 rotation. I had to visit an accessory shop nearby to remove the sticker, tighten the screw and stick back using the same sticker. It still works perfectly fine for me even after reusing it. So, remember to tighten the screw on the bottom after positioning it before sticking on your dashboard !! Device functionality and connections : As for the device itself, it starts up really quick and connects to the phone all within 5-10 secs max. Android Auto connects everytime automatically without issue or lag. Touch screen works really well. The size also fits perfectly for my car. Everything works as advertised. The wide range of connectivity options is pretty useful. I have an old Pioneer head unit/stereo without bluetooth in my car (attached photo taken from above) and since I installed it very close to it, I was not able to use the Bluetooth adapter that I have been using for many years. So, I first connected using the FM transmission option. But since they were so close to each other whenever I tried to adjust the audio on the Pioneer unit, there was frequency interruption causing static sounds. So, I have now used the aux cable to connect it. And I have also used the Pioneer's USB port to power the Plimpton device, so all the wirey mess is hidden and provides a clean look. It says that the power cable they provided is also the FM transmitter, but I did not use it first and used my portronics charger. I left one provided back at home and it worked perfectly fine apart from those random static noises. Turns on and off with the car, so no worries about battery drainage as well. Cons: Only thing I feel as a con is the reflective surfaces of the screen. But you can adjust the angle in a way that it doesn't reflect much anymore. It worked for me. For a product at this price range, this is much more than one could expect. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an old car without touchscreen or a car with touch screen but not Android Auto or CarPlay. Go for it ! You also get upto 720 days extended warranty and lifetime product support.

Excellent VFM buy. Some observations: the good: 1. easy installation, switches on automatically on ignition and connects to phone seamlessly 2. boon for old car models the could be betters: 1. brightness could be better, but its sufficient for most purposes (yet to try out in truly sunny conditions) 2. viewing angle is good but could be better 3. if your car has textured dashboards or curved dashboards, you may not be able to stick properly. Explore alternate solutions such as - "UCRAVO Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty - Multipurpose Removable Traceless Arts and Craft Tape for Walls，Washable Reusable Strong Sticky Strips Grip Tape- Heavy Duty (1mm- 3Meter)…" (this is what i used) The bads: 1. the cigarette lighter socket charger came broken - good news is the device still works with std USB A to C running from my existing charger. not returning 2. Brightness and volume control switches copuld have been provided, difficult to operate everything using touchscreen especially as multiple clicks are needed to hit the right screen 3. my car iCE doesn't retain source memory, that means i have to manually switch each time to bluetooth to get the audio on car speakers.... this is a car issue not device. The device has the option of defaulting to its own speaker but thats just so so (OK for directions, but not fir music). Would be great to have speaker choice at app lever... (e.g. device for g-maps and car speaker for music apps - but guess that will require android auto level changes) all in all i will recommend this for older models edit: 060925 (day night node doesnt auto switch in Google Maps on Android Auto) - which is a real pain while driving as the day mode could be too bright for evening/night drives and the absence of a physical brightness control device makes it even more cumbersome... please see seller communication below 06-Sept-2025 12:41 pm Wjy does day/night mode for Google maps not automatically switch (android auto)? 06-Sept-2025 1:48 pm Thank you for your letter. The Plimpton L1 car screen is seamlessly connects to both CarPlay and Android Auto via Bluetooth and wired methods, with Android Auto and Car Play working flawlessly. The device is easy to set up and use, it is really worth for this price. I really like the responsive touchscreen and lag-free performance, and particularly very useful for my Mahindra Marazzo M6+ variant where I cannot the change the OEM product with any other android device. Because the car OEM infotainment is integrated with other car features like AC control and etc. When I was searching an external screen and I found this Plimpton. I am really happy to have this device in my car. Since I have purchased this device two days ago, I have used less hours. I will share more review latter.

Been using this screen for more than 2 months and has driven 3000kms in hot sun and broken roads. The screen works like a charm and has been real value for money. Screen is bright and the touch response is also good. Connects to Android Auto wirelessly each time I turn on the ignition without any fuss. Connecting via Carplay is also easy and one need to switch from the home screen. Audio is connected via bluetooth from phone to car directly. There is also a speaker in the device and the audio can be played from it if needed. Overall very satisfied with the quality and performance of the device.

Bluetooth is getting connected automatically however android auto and music doesn't start automatically. If i turnoff phone Bluetooth and turn on, Android auto and music starts automatically. Typing on the Touchscreen is bit difficult as adjacent keys are getting typed in
