Dorman 621-410 Engine Cooling Fan Assembly Compatible with Select Dodge / Ram Models

I bought this to modify my 2016 RAM 1500 Bighorn with the 5.7L Hemi V8. From the factory the V8 trucks come with two fans, one mechanical, one electrical. The electrical one is practically useless as it just sits in a crappy thin plastic wire frame. The mechanical one does all the real cooling because it has a shroud. On the 2012-2016 trucks you can delete the mechanical fan and replace the electric with this unit and it'll keep temps in check on the V8s, even while towing heavy! The removed parasitic loss of the mechanical fan even boosts MPGs a touch (1-3 depending). To anyone looking to do this mod, be advised, the only way this will work is either a. you pull the screw holding the connector loose and drop it down for the slack to connect it to the truck's harness or b. cut the truck's factory harness and extend the wires for the pigtail. Also do your research and verify that you're in the right year range as they updated the e-fan connector in the later year models of this generation, meaning this unit won't work for those trucks without additional modification.

Got it for my 2014 ram 1500 5.7 hemi to get rid of the mechanical fan and fit perfect, it was plug and play, leaves lots of room in the engine bay and I live in Texas and haven’t overheated once, so it’s got something good going on

Fan fit like a glove on a '16 Ram 1500 5.7L to do a clutch fan delete. Worked perfectly.

Installed in 2016 Ram 1500 4WD Hemi. Poor packaging, came with one ear broken. Made a metal clamp to use with original securing bolt for the broken upper driver side ear. Eliminated the AC and clutch fans and was able to use the AC fan connector after cutting several harness securing ties and tape to free up enough length to reach the new fan connection. That was not easy but doable. Fan pulls a lot of air and should work to lower temps while towing. Also installed a Denale 15405 engine oil cooler available on Amazon.

It works as intended. I did a Efan conversion on my 2012 ram 1500 Hemi. It bolts right up. Just a FYI, on my 2012 i did not have to extend the oem fan harness👍🏻. 2013 and newer you have to. I gave it 4 stars since it arrived with a broken mounting tab but Amazon is sending me a replacement. Definitely cleans up the engine bay

Ram 1500 Classic fit. This works very well in stop and go traffic and towing. Installed it and went on a trip for 2,000 miles of towing the next day. The highest temperature I got was 110 degrees through long stretches of hills in Missouri area. The connection was a bit short so I just zipped tied temporary until I find a more permanent solution to secure better.

Keeps my ram 1500 very cool with 160 thermostat and it's hot in Florida got rid of shroud and clutch fan..works perfect..

Second time I order this fan. I’m sure it works good but both times I’ve received them. The same tab is broken where it’s supposed to be bolted on.

As advertised. Worked perfectly as a plug and play for a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi to delete the mechanical fan and smaller AC only e-fan. Have superchips tuner on tow tune. Have stock 203f thermostat. Comes on at 210f and brings down to 190f in about 30 seconds. With max AC on, kicks in at around 205f and takes down to 190f before turning off. Appears to have increased mpgs a little bit after getting rid of partially stuck on mechanical fan. Been on the truck for 1 day so far...

fit perfect in my 2016 ram 1500 sport, after install noticed a crack on the housing but doesnt seem to affect the fan

Had a crack at the bottom of the shroud amd after reading reviews seemed like no big deal so I installed it anyway and it works fine. Used on my 2021 Hemi Ram classic to delete engine mounted fan. Had to extend wiring harness but no big deal. I noticed quite a difference in how much smother the engine feels and the throttle response is abit better. it’s definitely a good mod if you have 45 minutes of spare time.

I did did a mechanical fan delete to my 2012 ram 1500. Box was a bit beat up when it arrived, but the fan was in good shape. Install of the fan only took 2 minutes after the original clutch fan, electric fan, and fan shroud was removed. Noticed a bit better fuel mileage an idle runs smoother without having the clutch fan cut in and out. When it turns on the heat just drops on the gauge. I recommend this conversion to any ram owner.
