American Plumber W-250 Replacement Filter Cartridge Set

its the OEM made filters for your American plumber tap. The instructions on how to install them are very clear. the filters arrive well packaged and without any damage or loose carbon fines. the filter performance is good and the water tastes great.

This filter works with American Plumber WLCS-1000 for filtering water. The filters seem to work very well but the throughput is a bit slow at first and quite slow near the end of the filter life. I got about a year and a half of life out of the filters before receiving notification from the WLCS-1000 that it was time to change the filters (a quite beep sounds when you turn the faucet on and the light flashes yellow when it is time to change the filters). It is a great product and good value but my family wishes the throughput was more. We will continue to use it because the water tastes a lot better!

I was looking for a filter replacement that was tested/is certified under the same NSF standards as the original filter. Unintuitively, over time it has gotten incredible harder to find filters which meet this requirement. I ended up scouring through the list of NSF filters certified for lead reduction on NSF International's website (search for "NSF Certified Product Listings for Lead Reduction" in your browser), and this filter was listed. I also weighed the fact that this is an American company with seemingly strong corporate governance and responsibility. It is silly that it has gotten to needing to do so much research for a product, but there are few things more important than the water you drink. Beyond that -- water tastes well, price point is decent, replacement is a synch. All good.

Very easy to change the filters. Took a little while to flush out the carbon but after that we had clean filtered water again.

This filter is part of the American Plumber under sink water filtration unit and it gives protection against water pollutants and good tasting water at the same time. Definitely a win-win and at a good price !

Water quality and flow are improved

The product recommendation said, this product was often sold with new O rings and lubricant. These are not options but must be sold with every order. So make it a complete package. My previous o rings did not set properly and it was a nightmare finding a replacement in a timely manner. These o rings are $.99 cent apeace. Don't short change your customers. Tell them what they need for a successful install, not this bullcrap "often sold with". Big waste of time running around as home depot, lowes and Ace do not sell this size o rings.
