Range Switch 3149400 Surface Burner Control Switch Replacement Parts: WP3149400, 3149400, AP3095444, 2786, 310180, 311846, 311858, 311859, 314140, 3148954, AH336989, EA336989, PS336989

Seems to have solved the problem in my Amana range (element always on HIGH). Not pretty, but all the hole cutouts matched and the flanges fit the plugs easily. Had to clip off the tip of the stem to match the length of the original (removed the clip on the stem and moved it to the lower notch first. Used wire clippers to snip the end off - stem material is fairly soft, so heavy duty scissors would probably work. At less than half the cost of an OEM part (never mind the service call).

This was easy to install and works great. My initial problem was that the burner was sticking and did not work on low setting. This fixed the problem

Had it now for a few months now. Not exactly a perfect fit, (the stem after the break-off piece is still slightly longer than the original) but close enough that it's not too noticeable on my Kenmore Range. The important thing is that it corrected the issue of erratic temperature fluctuation and works well from that perspective. It does however not hold the temp selector handle firmly. It will wobble on the controller stem unless I maintain its positioning. I may try a different brand to see if it is a better fit and scrap this one. It's only a really good price if it works. Update JULY 2025: Not a good product. The fit is getting worse so this will have to be replaced. Waste of money unfortunately.
