I have only one lan port in my office. but i want to connect five computers through the single lan port provided on the wall. is this what i need?

If you wish to connect 5 computers then you have to buy 8 ports model of same device because in this device your internet connection cable will occupy one port then only 4 will remain which is 1 port less than your need of connecting 5 computers. So buy 8 ports model ( TP-Link TL-SF1008D ) and insert your internet cable in one port and can connect upto 7 computers using rest of 7 ports via lan cable. Thank you.

Does this modem can be used to connect adsl broadband connection?
