Oh My This is GOOD Vinegar. I didn't know what to expect and what I received I could never have imagined. When you taste it for the first time, you know it's vinegar BUT.... The flavor is hard to describe. I will say it's sweet, as vinegars go, with a taste that is reminiscent of chocolate, good chocolate, not cheap chocolate. It is really good and adds a whole new level of flavor to any food. A MUST tray for any foodie. If you like new food tastes, just buy it. You can thank me later. I bought a different brand of 'black vinegar' (52***) to use in making a recipe for dinner guests. I found that it was crude, bad tasting, and inedible. But I thought I would Try this brand before I gave up on black vinegar. I didn't have high hopes but now I'm glad I did! This Soeos vinegar is excellent! Black vinegar made right! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Great deep, complex flavor! Rolls over the tongue very pleasantly ... not harsh and cheap like the other brand. Aroma is pleasant. Not over-whelming of vinegar. Good body. You can't go wrong with this. I can't wait to use this for a dipping sauce for dumplings and/or chicken! I will definitely buy again!!!!

Love this stuff!
I can’t do soy sauce and have been searching for a reasonable substitute for that umami flavor profile. This black vinegar fit the bill for me. It’s definitely tangier than soy sauce but I am finding I am loving what this vinegar brings to the table. Not missing the soy sauce any longer!

Perfect for hot and sour soup!
I’m a hot and sour soup fan and I found a new recipe where black vinegar was needed. It’s not something I’m familiar with so I went by reviews. What a difference! This has an unusual flavor but my soup was fantastic- easily the best I’ve had had, and it came from my kitchen!
