This is a very good product with all the features you will be needing from a tripod. The main thing to remember is, this is not a travel tripod and the folded length is quite big and will need to buy a full size(29 inch) trolley to accommodate it that to diagonally. Not sure whether I can take it in cabin or not, else it will have to be in some trolley or rucksack. Coming to the product, this is a good sturdy tripod, with all the flexibility. The ball head SBH-100 is also very good and smooth. Only thing is if you are pulling the entire top rod to 90 degrees angle, then it tends to fall off, thus need to hang some weight on the other side. Came in a good package, with extra camera mount plate. My verdict is go for it and you will not regret, if you are looking for a full featured tripod, else buy some small light weight one, which are good fro travelling.

A good, practical, solidly built descent tripod. Value for money. Looks premium too.

Quick release plate is not arca swiss type so I cant use my L plate with the ball head. They provide two quick release plate QS39/40 along with the tripod. Quick release plate does not have the holding ring for the screw to tighten it to the camera body. But that would not be a problem as it is easily managed by a coin. Tripod is heavy and sturdy. I bought recently (Oct 2020) for ~12K. Need to use it more to write a detailed review. I liked it. Would have been better if ball head was arca swiss compatible.

I am using it for 5 months now. I am a nature photographer and videographe. and i have to go on tracking for shooting. It's a light weight tripod and good in tilting. panning. And for small tracking shot. I am using my cannon 5d mark 4 and 24-200 mm lens. And it handles it's weight perfectly. If you looking for a on on budget handy tripod go for it

I bought the Alta Pro 263 AT and the SBH-100 Ball head after researching over the internet. This is a solid tripod which will provide you the stability that you need for those crucial shots in all type of conditions. I will list this as a definite buy for all serious landscape photographers.

On amazon it says 263AB, on real product it says 236AT. Product performance is just about average for the price we pay. Not a solid thing

He de decir que antes de comprar este tripode estuve valorando todas las opciones posibles en cuanto a precio y prestaciones de el mayor número de modelos de marcas en el mercado. Me incline por la marca Vanguard por informaciones publicadas en diferentes blogs y articulos especializados en los que coinciden en que es una firma que aplica calidad en todos sus productos (sin menospreciar las otras). Me decidi por los siguientes motivos : la altura máxima que podia conseguir, pues a pesar de que supera la mia, es una opcion que tengo a la hora de obtener fotos con la perspectiva que yo quiera si la situación lo requiere. El elemento que me acabó de decir por este modelo con respecto a todos los demas, fue que tiene una barra despleglable e invertible que te da opción de disparo en 360 º y una gran versaltilidad, no solo para el uso de macros, sino que utilizada en forma horizontal te facilita desplazamiento lateral, que va muy bien para la fotografia deportiva, pues puedes hacer un seguimiento del objeto/sujeto/vehiculo sin que se nos mueva la camara. En cuanto a la rotula, he decir que una vez probada con la camara encima + el teleobjetivo + portafiltros, aguanta el peso perfectamente que oscila entre 1-1'5 kgs dandome total seguridad de que le puedo añadir todavia mas si lo necesito. El fabricante dice que aguanta hasta 7 kgs, y por lo que he podido apreciar no puede quedar muy lejos. Los acabados son de muy buena calidad y se aprecia que es robusto y estable. En cuanto al peso, no lo noto especialmente pesado y a mi particularmente no me molesta, pues considero que si quiero estabilidad una de las garantias es precisamente esa. Si alguna vez lo tengo que subir por montaña hare lo que toca : " tranquilidad y poco a poco" pues si esta probabilidad la tuviese como frecuente hubiese buscado otro tipo de tripode donde el poco peso fuese dominante. En fin, se pueden tener diferentes gustos por otras marcas y modelos pero si teneis dudas, lo que si os puedo decir es que una vez probado no he tenido la sensación en ningun momento de haberme equivocado. Y el precio...? pues que entra dentro de lo razonable. Si te has gastado un dinero en un equipo con prestaciones no lo vas a estropear ahora con un tripode que por barato no te responda en todas aquellas situaciones en las que te puedas encontrar, "que nunca se sabe" .

J'aime beaucoup ce trépied. La qualité le look et les fonctionnalités sont très bonnes. Il me permet une grande stabilité mais également de prendre des photos sous differents angles! En effet le mécanisme de central est très bien pensé et permet de mettre en oeuvre la majorité de vos idées créatives. Pour ce qui est le plus classique il dispose de 3 niveaux a bulles 1 sur le trépied et 2 sur la tête ainsi il sera possible de positionner le trépied puis la tête afain d'obtenir un angle de vue se rapprochant au maximum de ce qui est souhaité. Les pieds disposent de crampons ce qui est interressant lors de prise de vues sur terrain mobile (herbe, terre, sable...) La tête est démontable et vous pourrez changer de tête selon les volontés (elle dispose d'un pas de vis standard) Il supporte un poid important (même si je n'ai pas pu vérifier cette donnée pour le moment) mais cela est particulièrement utile pour stabiliser le trépied en effet vous pourrez mettre un poid important sur le crochet prévu à cet effet sans compter que vous n'aurez aucun soucis à mettre la plupart de votre matériel dessus. Par contre il reste imposant il ne s'agit pas du meilleur modèle si vous souhaitez voyager avec. Pour le prix et la livraison. Comme d'habitude Amazon est toujours très bien placé mais il faut avouer que Vanguard propose du matériel de qualité très honnête pour des prix très corrects! Nach langer Suche nach einem Stativ hatte ich mich schließlich für das Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB 100 entschieden. In der Auswahl waren auch das Manfrotto 055XPROB Stativ mit dem 498RC2 Kugelkopf (qualitativ gut, aber teuer, nicht so flexibel) und das Mantona Stativ Pro Makro II (günstig, aber mit Qualitätseinschränkungen und nicht flexibel). Beweggründe für das Alta Pro waren dann die hohe Flexibilität des Stativs mit umlegbarer und auch umgekehrt montierbarer Mittelsäule, der Preis und die Qualität. Es war auf den ersten Blick das Allround-Stativ welches ich gesucht hatte. Beim Auspacken war ich direkt von der Haptik des Stativs begeistert. Es wirkt sehr stabil und massiv, ist dabei jedoch leicht und im zusammen geklappten Zustand schön handlich. Die Beine lassen sich leichtgängig ein- und ausfahren und fixieren. Auch die Mittelsäule lässt sich einfach umbauen und ist zudem, zusätzlich zum Stativkopf, um 360° drehbar und um 90° schwenkbar. Bei den ersten Testfotos sitzt die Kamera sicher und fest auf dem Stativ. Egal ob mit einer 50 mm Festbrennweite oder mit einem 70-300 mm Teleobjektiv. Hier bestätigte sich auch die Flexibilität des Stativs. Von Panoramen über Mondfotografie bis hin zu Makroaufnahmen ist damit alles möglich. Auch in schwierigen Positionen steht das Stativ sicher und ermöglicht fast immer eine perfekte Positionierung der Kamera. Auch bei voll ausgefahrener und um 90° gekippter Mittelsäule lässt sich das Stativ benutzen, dabei ist jedoch ein Gegengewicht an der Mittelsäule notwendig, welches sich aber einfach am Ende der Mittelsäule befestigen lässt! Der Stativkopf erfüllt für mich alle Anforderungen, die ich an diesen stellte. Er fixiert die Kamera gut und lässt sich leicht einstellen. Angenehm ist hier auch, das er sich um 360° drehen lässt, so das man einfache Panoramen damit fotografieren kann. Nützlich ist hier bei auch die aufgedruckte Skala. Fazit: Das Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB 100 ist einfach ein sehr gutes Stativ, bei dem man sehr viel Stativ für sein Geld bekommt und welches fast alle Fotobereiche abdeckt. Ich kann dieses Stativ einfach nur weiterempfehlen und habe jedes Mal Spaß bei der Nutzung.
