Easy to set up
Easy to set up, affordable and working in all countries I visited. It is offering real 4G Lte quality. The pyment is very secured, receipt is provided and there are no hiden fees and auto renewals. No need of additional internet connection to top up. The system gives you access straight through the cellular provider. Make sure to activate the international data roaming on your device and migsky"nually set up the access point to ''gigsky"

Was hopeful at first but in the end it was worthless
I purchased this with high hopes even though there was a fair mix of reviews. When I recieve the card I followed all the directions for set up closely. It seemed that it was activated and would work well so I purchased a 15 day plan for 20$ for the Colombian and Caribbean areas which I'd be visiting I was thrilled to see the plan included both those areas! However this was a big mistake. When I arrived in Colombia there was only 30 minute free wifi at the airport but I wasn't worried because I had my card activated. I followed through with all the rest of the directions to get my phone connected to the data I had bought. it showed it connected but it wouldn't use the data. At the top bar of my phone it showed it was connected but had an R by it? Without wifi it would not open the app and I could not find ways to trouble shoot my problem online. The Bogota airport allowed 30 minites free internet which I used up trying to figure out how to start this dumb data service! But nothing. When I enter the app, it shows my Purchased plan however it still says 15 says available. This is also weird to me because it told me the 15 days counts down wether I use the data or not.. I only have 15 days to use it, it's been a week and it still shows 15 days and 500 Mb. It was so important that I had this data working because I needed to be in contact with someone and this really was a disaster. I'm used to using a sim service for cell service so I thought this would be simple but it was a complete waste. Don't risk it.. Its not even worth it.

Paying for Convenience but Spotty Coverage
I have used the GigSky Data SIM before in both Europe and Asia and found that the service works well in terms of getting connectivity to your device. On iOS, you won't know who you are roaming on as the service bar always says GigSky for the Carrier. In some of the countries I visited, there were times when I would be stuck on 3G connectivity even though I knew LTE was available; in one instance I had LTE for a day and then was stuck on 3G the rest. No matter what I did, reset APN settings, airplane mode, reboot, I would be stuck on 3G. That said, I did have connectivity and Internet did work; albeit slow. In terms of plan selection, I generally went with the regional plans since it allowed me to go to many countries and use the same data plan. Pricing is relatively reasonable (compared to US carriers roaming plan rates) but is not compared to local SIM providers. But that said, there is a price for the convenience of not having to purchase a local SIM and swap SIMs out each time. Overall, I'm satisfied with GigSky and will continue to use it in the future since I get connectivity and it isn't crazy expensive.

The setup was pretty straightforward following its tip card
I bought this card to get ready for a touring trip in South Asia countries. The setup was pretty straightforward following its tip card. However when I switch out the GigSky SIM and place back my original Verizon SIM card, I found out that my Verizon's Cellular data does not work any more (the voice is fine). I searched on the net and did not find any info directly related to this issue. People did mention that the APN change needs to be reverted, but the IOS 11.2 change made it very difficult to find a place to change the Cellular APN name. Finally I found out that GigSky created a profile under the Settings/General Tab. After I remove the profile, the Verizon cellular data comes back normal. I have not made my trip to South Asia yet, but would like to share this tip with you and wish GigSky will create an article about this issue to save people hours of time to resolve it. Also with GisSky will create an easier way for people to switch back and forth the SIM card. Because I know I have to redo the SIM card setup again when I need to use it. Update 3/3/2018 after some real usages in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, & Taiwan. Once the Gigsky SIM is inserted, turn off and on the airplane mode as suggested by the vendor. When I landed in Hong Kong, the cellular data connection is immediately available as advertised. However though all the supported countries, my iPhone6 got only 3G or 3G+, very briefly saw LTE once in Taiwan. Vietnam is not in the supported list, so it was as expected no data connectivity. One major hiccup is at Singapore. Though the phone showed StarHub as the carrier, it just does NOT connect through. I gave me quite some headache since there are some free WIFI at Singapore, but it always requires a verification code to be sent to a Cellular number while I don't have a mobile number. At Singapre Changi airport, I was able to show my passport to get 3-hour WIFI, then I contacted Gigsky support via email, they are very prompt in replying. I've tried all suggestions they gave me (even before I contacted them), it still did not work. After I arrived Taiwan, the support team did refund me $25 (500MB 15-days) purchase. I got a support evaluation email a few days later, I'm still interested in finding out why Gigsky did not work at Singapore with StarHub, pending on their reply. Overall, I think Gigsky is an affordable cellular data option if you don't require high speed data connection, since I can only access 3G/3G+ through my trip. I wish they can sort out the connectivity issue at Singapore so others won't experience the hiccup as what has happened to me.
