I ordered three different knives to find one that would cut sandwiches without tearing them apart. We have a lot of panini sandwiches and my other knives just shredded them. Of the three I got this one is the best and plan to give them to my children and grandchildren for Christmas.

Knife guard is so thin that if you miss the insertion crack, you have little distance to stop, before you cut your hand. They could add extra plastic beyond the crack to grasp the guard.

Larger than i thought it would be but still great for making sandwiches

Very Handy and unique knife. Perfect for sandwiches (spreads and cutting). I wish the sheath covered the whole blade but it was not an issue as I was able to insert it into my knife block.
