Can we plant in autumn? We live in CT.

The ideal time to plant grass seed varies by hardiness zone, but is usually in the spring, once temperatures have reached a consistent 60 F and there is no more danger of frost. Grass can be planted through the end of July but no later. If you’re planting in the fall, wait until after there have been a few killing frosts so the seeds you plant will lie dormant until the spring.

it is ready and VERY small even with the coating.

How much area will this cover?

We reseeded a road side ditch with 1# of crown vetch seed and would estimate that it covered 2000 square feet. We have no idea if this was correct but it was what we tried.

Never grew

We planted the entire bag on a hill beside our garage. Plenty of water and sun. It just never, ever grew.

No instructions. Never germinated. Nothing grew.

Seeds arrive in a bag with no special instruction on germination or planting. I spread them with a broadcast spreader in the fall and again in the spring. Not one single seed germinated. Nothing grew except weeds. No Crownvetch.
