Fit previous insides and works perfectly! New key fob feels like a new car!

I ordered this to replace the shell of the factory fob I got when I bought my vehicle. This fit perfectly for the circuit board and battery from my old fob. I now have a working key fob that I can see all of the buttons clearly. When the matching one that my wife carries needs replacing, I know where to get the right one!

This was sought to be an affordable fix to the failing factory FOB plastic housings. The factory FOBs worked and worked well, but the housings were cracking where they snap together. These arrived in the typical two-day-or-so. Move the PCBs and batteries from the original housings, I noticed the battery snapped in and we held in a manner that it could not fall out, but it was loose. That is key. These new FOB housings, once reassembled with the factory PCBs, did not work. It was the batteries being loose in the housing. At first, I folded a small piece of paper and wedged it under the batteries. This test of wedging the batteries got them to work for a short while; not a permanent solution. My permanent solution to salvage this purchase was to fill the void around the batteries with hot glue. Broke out the daughter's little hot glue jun and placed a fair amount of it on the corner opposite where the battery contact is. Then, quickly inserted the batteries being sure the still-hot glue did not squish out where the contact will touch when the two halves are snapped together. Once the glue set up, I reassembled and the FOBs have worked fine. I choose hot glue as it is durable enough to keep the batteries in place, but I can easily remove the batteries in the future when they need replacing. I suggest you get a fresh battery (one per FOB) for you FOB if you decide to use these. Why not. One star for me having to 'fix' the short-comings of this product. Three starts for ease of assembly (to install). Snap the two halves together. Four stars for value as it was way cheaper than a new FOB at the dealer. Three stars for durability...how do I know, have had them for a month now.

Confident. Like the fob equivalent of a man who just got his life together after years of chaos and bad decisions. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. If your current key fob looks like it’s one sneeze away from spontaneous disassembly, do yourself a favor. Get this shell. Give your fob a glow-up. It’s the cheapest midlife crisis you’ll ever fix.

The top part of the key fob where the key ring attaches had become worn and broke. The key fob still worked and we only needed to replace the shell of the fob. Reviews of this seemed mixed where it worked for some and not for others. Few reviews mentioned that the battery area might be slightly lower and prevented the battery from making contact. It was easy to open and move the board from the original to the replacement. It fit well. The battery snapped into place but when we closed it and tried it, it did not work. We opened it back up and place 1 strip of electrical tape in the battery compartment and snapped the battery back in. Closed it up and it was working. This was a good replacement fit for a 2014 GMC Acadia Denali AWD Key fob

Perfect replacement shell for my 2007 Chevy Avalanche key fob. I was having issues with my old one and the buttons. Once I replaced it with this one the buttons respond perfectly. Took a couple of seconds to switch over the circuit board and has been working perfectly ever since.

Everything matched up to my '13 tahoe fob. The back of the new fob sits lower where the battery is. Put a little foil to help raise the battery. Other than that it works great just a little disappointed with the back piece

I have tried other brands of this fob and after a short time they broke. This set works great and easy to install the electronics . It seems to be a battery problem with the others but this one goes together with no issues. Better quality. There are two battery types that fit these but one is smaller so that may be the reason some people are having problems with a loose battery. Cr2032 fits this fob perfectly.
