Just What We Needed to Avoid the Ball Going in the Poison Ivy
We bought this yard guard to avoid our ball rolling down into a wooded area that has tons of poison ivy which it had been doing regularly when we first got the hoop. Set up was easy on our Goalrilla FT60 hoop, not sure how it would fit with other brands but it does come with a variety of different size adapters for various pole diameters. It stops the majority of deflected passes and missed shots and folds up quickly against the pole for times when we are not using the court (which is usually when we don't have kids, nephews and nieces and others who like to play basketball over). I was concerned that the yard guard might not look attractive but it looks fine. We are very pleased with this purchase after a couple weeks usage and have only had one ball make it to the poison ivy - that from an attempted bounce shot in the game Horse. Will see how it stands up over time.

This works great and and is a high quality product.
This works great and is a high-quality product. It helps block the basketball from going into our yard. My son loves it. It has good length and height so that it protects the ball from going into the yard. It was so easy for me and my son to assemble. It works so good. Goalrilla is a great brand it this is another great product by them. It also came with a bonus little pad. The net is very strong. Very high quality metal for the poles. I recommend this to anyone who has the same problem as I did.

Works on a Proforma 660
My son and I installed it in about 45 minutes on a Proformance 660. I was concerned we would have issues since it wasn’t the hoop from goalrilla but installation and use is fine. We were even able to put the pole pad back on that we bought for the Proforma. We can’t use the bottom pad we bought but the yard guard comes with a small bottom pad which works. Goalrilla poles must be a bit taller or the triangular base on the bottom is a bit shorter so we have a little extra netting on top but not a big deal. Instructions could definitely be much better but after a few readings we figured it out. PS instructions state that the poles are a tight fit in the brackets. That was not true for us. Either they changed the brackets and neglected to change the instructions or ours were not made right but it wasn’t a problem.

Torn and no longer stopping the ball - Replaced by seller!
This yard guard was expensive but we hoped it would be worth the money since the basketball would constantly roll down the hill behind the hoop. Unfortunately it has torn and no longer stops the ball when it hits the net. This results in a VERY frustrated basketball player. We went for the more expensive version hoping that meant better quality, but probably should have gone with the less expensive brand. Hoping to receive a replacement under warranty. Update: We received a replacement net very easily and my husband finally installed it. Great customer service.

Works great for Pro Shot.
I have a ProShot basketball system and this was the closest I could find for a yard guard. While not designed for the pro shot (6” x 6”) post, it fit on. The only part that doesn’t have as much tension is the net connection at the top of the post. Not a deal breaker, and still does what it’s supposed to. The bottom pad fits ok, but the proshot one can be cut to work still Take some time to line up your pole pad and the Velcro straps for the yard guard to get the best fit. You will have extra parts as they give you multiple mounting bracket sized hardware.

Frustrating and Costly!
This net does exactly what it’s supposed to do when it is in tact, but unfortunately it is cheaply made, despite its high cost, and this is the second one that we have had fall apart in less than a year. The latest net stated falling apart around 6 months, starting with the straps to secure it when not in use falling off, the rods in the base continually coming loose, the net coming loose from the base. Now the top right side has torn from the anchor at the top, resulting in many of the basketballs getting past the net, and unfortunately at our house that means they roll down the hill into the river and we have lost countless basketballs. We don’t have another option other than to keep purchasing these, but it is beyond frustrating and very costly.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Easy to install. We had this up for 9 months and it has endured several snow storms and high winds and held up nicely. My son actually ran into the net and the rod that opens the system into a "bat wing" through the middle shattered. I contacted the company and they responded within 2 hours and replaced the part. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Great idea, poor quality!
The yard guard worked great for the first two weeks, then one side of the net broke. The weight of the entire side is supported by a thin piece of material and one small grommet. After two weeks of use, the stitching that held the net to the grommet and material gave out and the entire net on the left hand side came crashing down. We took the net down and restitched it, but the weight of the net is too much and it broke again. We loved the net while it worked. Goalrilla needs to rethink the construction of the net.
