Handheld Dynamic Microphone System-K025

I must admit, I was dubious about a wireless microphone for 30 bucks. But I was really impressed by this mic - it does the job, and I'm totally happy with it. Impressed! The wireless functionality is very easy. I put batteries in both the receiver and mic, turned them on, and they paired instantly. The nice thing about this is that you can shut off the mic when not in use, to kill the signal and/or save batteries, and turn it back on whenever you need to speak again, it pairs in a nanosecond. I tested up to 80 feet, on different floor of my house, and the signal didn't suffer at all. Outdoors I'm sure you could go well over 100 feet. The sound quality was good, very clear, for either speaking or singing. It does have a proximity effect, so the bass gets quite heavy if you put your mouth on it. Just pull it back a few inches and you'll be fine. The build quality seems quite solid as well, though it's plastic it will definitely survive a few bumps. Comes in a nice box with fitted foam, good for throwing into a bag for a gig. Really happy with this, especially for the price.

I bought this back during Christmas for my wedding in August. We tried it out for about a day and it worked great. We up everything away until the wedding and then went to set it all up. It worked great for around 5 minutes and then we started setting everything else up. When I came back to turn everything off the mic had stopped working and the transceiver was really hot. The mic itself was working, but the plug in transceiver apparently took a dump on us unfortunately. Luckily I was able to get in contact with their customer service since the Amazon C.S. had expired, they were very nice and sent me a new transceiver. I'm sure the original transceiver was just a one time fluke and that happens with all products from time to time. The biggest thing was that they sent me a new product without any hassle. The only thing to be for warned about it is that if you need a replacement from Fifine directly it takes a couple weeks to ship since it comes from China. The mic is very nice and the range is pretty wicked! It also has a higher frequency so it can easily still work in a crowded room or from completely different rooms, so no interference! Again, thank you customer service for being such a great help!

Our family loves to throw parties. We do karaoke often, and we have guitarists who love to sing and play. I also sometimes DJ, so having a good wireless microphone is important. I have two JBL PartyBox microphones that sound great, and I used all three microphones this weekend at a birthday party. Compared to the JBL mics, the FIFINE K025 sounds noticeably bassier. I had to cut the bass on my mixer, but once I did, it sounded much better. The K025 is also considerably hotter than the JBL mics. That can be a great thing for people who like to hold the microphone down around their waist while singing or speaking . However, with louder singers, I had to turn the gain down quite a bit to avoid having too much volume. The JBL microphones also have a built-in pop filter, while the K025 does not. That said, it wasn’t really a problem during our party, and I didn’t notice any major issues with popping or plosives. During speeches, the K025 performed very well. I experienced no dropouts, and the wireless range was good. I tested it at around 40 feet without any issues, although no one actually went farther than about 30 feet from the transmitter during the party. As long as you have a clear line of sight and aren’t trying to use it from an excessive distance, the range should be more than adequate for a typical house party, club house or karaoke setup. The best thing I can say is that nobody had anything bad to say about the microphone. It worked reliably throughout the party, and with a few adjustments on my mixer, it sounded good. For the price, I’m very happy with the FIFINE K025. It may sound a little bass-heavy compared with some other microphones, but that’s an easy fix with a mixer. Overall, it performed well for karaoke, singing, and speeches, and I would definitely recommend it for casual home use and parties.

I've had this mic for a few weeks now, and in contrast with everyone else whom I see use this for singing and talking, I wanted to see how this worked with a guitar for home/dorm recording. Overall, I am impressed with it. With my usual set up, I usually plug in a mic with an XLR Jack into my audio interface. With this mic, it goes into the instrument input on the interface and it works just fine. I was able to record voice-overs, mic up my acoustic guitar and my amp. It sounded way better than I expected it to. It also picked up only the guitar and voice, nothing else around it (which what this type of mic should do). The only complaint I really have is that the Mic is on the bassier end of things. In post, you might want to reduce the bass in an EQ or compressor. There are also a few things cosmetically I would change, but these are personal opinions that only affect my situation (where the LED is, ext). Overall I recommend this mic for someone who is first getting into recording.

There is no setup, just put the batteries in and turn on receiver and mic and it works. How the heck did they make this microphone and sell it for so cheap? It works really well. Amazing, I think. Less than 40 bucks and you have a microphone with metal mesh. Range is great. I had less issues with feedback with this mic then my wired mic's, you have to point the mic directly at the speaker for it to squeal. Also, it comes with a rubber anti-roll piece that you put on the bottom when you aren't using it, so it won't roll off the table. That wasn't in the pictures. The base is a rubber cap that appears to be just glued on there. If you buy the version that has two mic's then the rubber caps are different colors. You don't need to but I plugged the receiver into a small mic preamp just to get better gain out of it, this isn't necessary though, works well just directly plugged into the amp. But, it had a fuller sound after the preamp. I used an ART Tube MP Studio Microphone Preamp.

This microphone worked excellently for us. It was very easy to set up, worked with a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter on our camera, and had very decent audio quality. We tested it both indoors and outdoors, and it worked very well. The range on it wasn't as long as I was expecting, we were able to get around 30ft from it, but that might've been resolved had we adjusted the frequency or used different batteries. When the microphone was in range of the transceiver, the audio quality was clean and not shabby for its price tag, and didn't pick up a lot of surrounding noise. The fact that the wireless transceiver uses a 1/4" jack was helpful, and made it easy to switch between plugging it into a mixer and then afterwards using it on our camera with a 3rd party adapter. Overall, I'm really content with the microphone for the price that it's advertised at.

I used this wireless microphone for a dairy goat show that I chaired and it worked for about 1.5 hours. The problem is that the shows last 6 to 7 hours long. I would switch out the batteries for new ones and it would work again for a short while but never terribly long. I was hugely disappointed that this microphone didn't work for more hours because when it did, it was GREAT. I loved it. The judges loved it. So, I gave this product 5 stars for sound quality because, again, when it worked it was fantastic. I gave this microphone 2 stars because the battery life was miserable. Value is one star because basically I couldn't use this item, so the money spent went down the toilet.

This isn't a totally garbage product, and I do think (especially given its low price) it does have its place. But the buyer should be aware of a number of flaws that render it unsuitable to many applications. First, the sound quality. It's a bit of a mixed bag here. When you speak into the microphone, your voice will sound pretty good and clear. By no means will this rival a professional microphone, but the quality is certainly good enough for someone giving a casual lecture or sermon. However, there's a problem: though your voice will sound good, it will be accompanied by a constant background "hiss" that seems to be a permanent feature of the microphone's quality. It's not super intrusive, so if you just need the cheapest microphone you can find for a casual purpose, that's probably a fair trade-off. But if you're a professional speaker or doing any kind of recording, this microphone simply won't work for you. On that note, I did notice before I made my purchase that several other reviewers have included videos with their reviews in which they recorded audio directly from their own copy of this microphone. In those cases, I didn't notice the same issues with sound quality I did on the one I got, which suggests to me that not all of these microphones have issues, but that there is significant variance in quality control, so this purchase might be a bit of a gamble. You might get a microphone with unusable sound quality, or you might get a usable microphone for a lot less money than you'd pay for a more reliable product. Speaking of reliability, that's another problem here. Background static aside, this microphone works fairly consistently...right up until it suddenly stops, at which time sound will completely drop away and it will only pick up sounds every several seconds. I've discovered that taking the batteries out for a few seconds and then replacing them seems to solve this problem (though I have no idea why), but once again, that's not something you want to have to deal with during an important moment when you're giving a speech. Given that wireless microphones can often cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, this price certainly seems mighty tempting. Ultimately, though, you get what you pay for. It's not terrible, but I really can't recommend it.
