Pure
This book is true to the story of the Mahabharatha as it was told to us by our parents and grandparents. Interpretation of events to personal tastes is kept to a minimum. The language is very welcoming. It would be a lovely reading experience for those already familiar with the Mahabharatha. But for those who are new to the epic, the narrative of this book might be confusing as it is not written entirely chronologically. There are chapters dedicated to some individual characters that list all the major events in the life of that character, and these events include many people and situations that have not been introduced earlier in the book. If you are familiar with the outline of the Mahbharatha and want to refresh your memory, this is an ideal book to read.

Great starter for Dharmic literature!
Rajaji's Mahabharata is one of the best introductions to this great Indian epic. The language is very easy to understand, making it perfect for beginners who are new to Indian scriptures or dharmic books. The storytelling is engaging and flows smoothly, keeping the reader interested from start to finish. Rajaji has simplified the complex original text without losing the essence of the stories or the deep moral lessons. Each character is brought to life in a way that’s relatable and thought-provoking. If you're looking to start reading dharmic literature or want to understand the values and culture of ancient India, this book is a great place to begin.

Easy read
Beautiful book, finished 40pages in 1 day when am not an avid reader of books. It is an original book, not a copy, 2025 edition, has beautiful cream colored pages though page quality and binding could improve, photos attached. MRP is 400rs, bought for 312rs in amazon, price should be lower since it is 71st edition print.

Bit of a biasing however it is inevitable.
It was a good and entertaining read however still there are many facts missing and many parables skipped or some verses flipped on bias but verely it can't be helped.

The Mahabharata
The Mahabharata tells the story of the two main noble families of Pandavas and Kauravas. The Kauravas exiled the Pandava family by various means, to ensure that this family would gain access to the throne. Eventually the Kurukshetra war was engendered by the Kauravas to ensure they were the ones in power, however, they didn't win in the end. The story is too complex to describe more accurately, but it really happened a long time ago, and is well worth reading. There is still a place called Kurukshetra in the north west of India, proving its existence, and India used to be called Bharat.

Great read!!
I started reading this because of what I heard on "Ancient Aliens". This book does not have much to do with that subject. It is like the Iliad with great moral teachings which illustrate why we cannot view morality in black and white, right or wrong. It has stimulated my interest in Hindu teaching - My next read is the Bhagavad Gita. As a Buddhist, I have gained insight into the origins of our teachings. As a former Christian, I have gained a greater perspective of what Jesus taught.
