I fell in love with Syrian food while traveling actually in Egypt. I couldn't get enough of it. The flavors. The combination of spices were absolutely mind-blowing. So when I went to look for a cookbook to help capture these delicious dishes, I came across this book. It is hands down. One of the best cookbooks I own in my extensive cookbook collection. Would makes this so special is you read the history and the stories of this amazing country and he fall in love with the place. That sadly doesn't exist like it used to, but the memories live on through the food which is described and explained in the pages of this masterpiece. I cannot recommend it enough. And if you have never tried Syrian food before, be prepared for some of the best food you ever enjoy in your life. Excellent cookbook / history book/ lessons on cultural humility!!!

In love with this cook book. Spices blends are perfect and dishes delicious. Food meant to feed a crowd or great for leftovers. Your whole house will smell incredible

Excellent recipes, easy to follow.

I recently got this book and tried a popular rice dish with lentils, but the recipe measurements for the spices were incorrect. I'm not sure if this book is printed accurately with its measurements.
