I purchased these to have more color variations mixed in with the regular Ticonderoga pencils and my kids definitely grab these pencils first as they love the bright colors.

These used to come with blue in the pack last summer but we have a subscribe and save for more pencils regularly and the blue has been replaced with purple in the last few deliveries. This stinks because we have multiple kids and color code them so that they can keep track of resources better and blue was key for my kids.

This product arrived a little strangely. As far as I can tell they're the typical ticonderoga quality, but instead of being 4 packages of 10 we received a box of 30 and then 10 loose pencils in a shipping bag. The loose pencils are scratched and kind of dirty with a couple broken tips, probably just from bouncing around in the bag. The 10 loose pencils are also almost all blue. Still all functional pencils, but if you planned to use them as gifts or needed equal counts of all the colors it's not quite as expected.

Dixon Ticonderoga. Not perfect, but seems to be the best. Perfect would be if any damn pencil could get that graphite centered. OK so if you have a real wood barrel, (although that is superior to the composite crap that seems to generally be an amalgam of snot and sawdust), you got the real wood barrel and you are 90% there. I suppose real wood=not perfect=weird grains etc.. I'lll take it, because those waxy Chinese sharpener destroying composite pieces of sh*t gotta go.
