Great flavor
This coffee is GREAT. Has that strong robust flavor that I love and cream seems to make it richer and smoother. I have tummy problems, but this is no problem for my stomach. NOT caffeine free....but does not make me jitter. VERY please with this coffee. I look forward to it every morning now.

After 40 years in the military, I've consumed coffee brewed in places where the local wildlife had clearance levels higher than I did. I've had coffee strong enough to dissolve a plastic spoon, remove camouflage paint, and motivate an entire platoon after two hours of sleep. So when I picked up Tactisquatch Dark Roast from Black Rifle Coffee Company, I figured it would just be another recruit reporting for duty. I was wrong. This coffee didn't report for duty—it kicked in the door, established a perimeter, and took command of the operation. The aroma alone hit me like a reveille bugle at 0500. The flavor is bold, smooth, and dark without tasting like burnt motor oil, which is a rare achievement in the world of "extra strong" coffee. It's got enough backbone to satisfy old warhorses like me who believe coffee should be able to stand at attention without a cup. After my first mug, I was suddenly motivated to reorganize my garage, mow the lawn, inspect the neighbor's yard for deficiencies, and write a strongly worded report on why squirrels continue to violate perimeter security. As for the Tactisquatch himself, I can neither confirm nor deny his existence. But after three cups, I was pretty sure I saw him conducting reconnaissance near the bird feeder. Bottom line: If you're looking for a weak, fancy coffee that tastes like it was filtered through a yoga mat, keep walking. If you want a dark roast with enough firepower to launch your day and enough flavor to earn a salute, Tactisquatch is mission capable. Rating: 5 out of 5 tactical caffeine deployments.
