We first saw this on one of Michael Portillo's Continental Railway Journeys. The interview with the firm, his description of the scent and the reaction of people he tried it on, made us interested in trying it ourselves. We expected it to be really expensive but when we looked on Amazon the prices were much better than we feared. This smells lovely - it's got a real citrus tang to it and it wakes your senses but still leaves you feeling calm. Both of us use it and it smells good on both of us. The bottle is easy to hold (if a little big for a woman with small hands). We pour it into our hand and then rub it into our body. The scent doesn't last all day but then it isn't meant to and it's easy enough to put some more on your neck and wrists. I see us continuing to buy this and other 4711 items into the future.

4711 has been around for years and is really lovely. I adore perfume and this has always been one of my favourites. It also has so many other uses – can you put some into your hands and run it through your hair after washing – it smells wonderful! Put a few drops onto your pillow and it soothes you to sleep with it’s lovely aroma that has got hints of lavender. Add a few drops to potpourri and it also refreshes it. You can even add a few drops to a cotton wool pad and put it in your underwear drawer as well. Honestly, it’s a lovely scent that is just so fresh and uplifting.

4711 is a classic, a 300 year old cologne that has stud the test of time. fresh, soapy and citrusy. smells like you have just got out of the shower, perfect for summer. not so long lasting but is great for its price. it smells very similar to tom ford neroli protafino but wont break the bank. a must have for any perfume collectors or someone new to perfume.

Mum is 95 years old and Tosca 4711 is her favourite this rather large bottle was amazing value

Its hard to get this product in the shops. I received it as a Birthday gift and few years ago and fell in love with the smell.

Não vivo sem este perfume. Sensação de frescos indescritível. Terapêutico, me alivia até enxaqueca. Pena que o fixador não seja mais forte, mas nada que uma borrifada a mais não resolva. Amo!!
