Good
Works as expected. Device is a little bulkier than other. May not fit fan with small base.

Best value for the money that I've found. Also I'm an electrician.
So yeah....super pleased and happy with this purchase. The receiver part that goes into your ceiling fans shroud is the right size. Tiny. It connects with minimal effort and works VERY well. The problem I've always had with these things is always the crappy remote and the even crappier remote sensor in the receiver. This one however works with an rf signal instead of the old line of sight infrared type or whatever. Not once have I pressed a remote button that the fan disnt respond to. Every single time I press a button it simply works with no problem. Radio frequency (RF) is so much better than the older styles of these things. Your local big box building supply stores want upwards of $30-$40 for these remote control units and don't work nearly as well. I spent about $14 on this one and when the time comes to install another into one of my fans i know for sure I'll be buying another one of these. It works perfectly. Always.

It is a generic brand remote - But works good
1st - it's an unbranded generic remote and not Westinghouse like the description says. (unless it is the same remote made for westinghouse brand, I don't know) 2nd - It comes with no documentation except on the back of the receiver unit. But if you have wired up a remote before it is still easy to install. 3rd - It comes with no screws to mount the wall bracket to the wall with, nor did it have any wire connectors. 4th - When you turn on the wall switch to give it power the light comes on. This means if we have a power outage at any time, the light will be on until we turn it off. BUT - It does work with the LED bulbs that are in the fan, and seems to work just fine. I also kinda like the beeps you hear when you change a setting or turn on the light or fan. Just installed it 30 minutes ago so in 6 mo to a year, we will see if it is still going. I have purchased 2 of another brand of remotes. One of them is still going since September of 2015 and the other died after 3 months of use. This time I went real cheap to see what happens. (will try to update this review then)

Great replacement unit!
Got this to replace one our dog had chewed up the remote to. Simple to install, just make sure you program the remote. I thought something was wrong until I read further down on the instructions. Program was Simple and quick.

Excellent Basic Remote
This remote is a big convenience for my existing ceiling fan. If you are handy with basic wiring it is straightforward to install, and I recommend using lever connectors (like Wago connectors) for quick and secure connections. Once installed, just remember to keep the original fan switch set to HIGH and then you can remove the old pull chain for completely remote operation. Highly recommended.

Works perfectly. Never glitches.
I installed this in our ceiling fan 3 years ago and it has worked perfectly ever since. It has always reacted instantly to a button press. The feel of the buttons is good. The labels are legible. It uses 2 AAA batteries, so when I eventually need to replace them (still good at 3 years), I won't have try to read the shiny embossed markings on a button battery. My ceiling fan is a Westinghouse Lighting 7234100 Comet Indoor Ceiling Fan with Light. It's low profile, has a nice dimmable light, and moves air very quietly even on high, and effectively even on low.

Careful! You get what you pay for
I gave value for your money a one star secondary to you get what you pay for. Figured it was too good to be true! Fan works light works but no speed control only one speed for high medium and low! So reversing the fan and placing on low for winter months is a no go. It's summer now and will leave it the way it is but will be getting a new control module later in the season. Smh at the false advertising this brand has committed!

I first bought one of these to make sure it would work and was compatible with the fan/light I installed for my kids, and was pleased enough with it that I bought a second one for the fan/light in my other kid's room! Having/leaving the handheld RF remote on my kids' nightstand is a great convenience, and does away with the need for pull chains. The controller also turns on the light if it loses power and then power is restored, so this allows the light to be turned on by flicking the wall switch (typically near entry to the room) off/on regardless of the last state set by the remote. This alleviates the need to mount the remote/holster near the room entrance, and you can always turn on the light from the wall switch. As someone indicated, this means the light will turn on in the event of power restoral after a failure, but if your electrical power is stable, this is a minor issue as a trade-off for the convenience. Pros: * The controller is pre-paired at the factory, so it's ready to go once the controller has been installed. * I had no conflicts with two separate controllers and remotes in adjacent rooms. They work really reliably! * Range is excellent. As I said, these are RF, so you don't need line-of-sight, and it'll work around corners or through walls. The antenna is inside the enclosure and not hanging out as illustrated in pictures, but even inside a metallic dome/cover, it seems to have no issues receiving signals from the remote control. * 3 different fan speeds are comparable with the fan's 3 speeds. * Audible beep is a good confirmation that a command has been received. * Really easy to connect -- uses conventional wire colouring. * If you really want to disable the beep sound, you can de-solder the piezo electric buzzer mounted on the PCB inside. It's really easy to access. But I don't find it that loud or annoying, myself, and prefer to keep it. Cons: * Wires are about as short as could be, and there is no slack -- it would've been nice to have a few extra inches. * No method of mounting is provided -- it would have been nice to have holes for zip/cable ties, and maybe provide ties or velcro, but you have to figure this out entirely yourself. * Wiring is 20 AWG (stranded), so thinner than house wiring, but then my fan's wiring was 18 AWG. I would've expected 16-18 AWG for this controller. * The way the wires come out (straddling the unit) makes it a bit difficult to mount while keeping tidy (recall I said wires are short). To get around this, I opened the unit and routed all 5 wires out a single hole, which made it easier to mount neatly. I've provided pictures of my controller installed, zip-tied to the mounting bracket. In the second picture, where you can see the white label, this is the hole where the neutral and hot wires used to come out; I moved them all to the other side to allow easier connections, because the wires protruded only maybe 4" from the unit. Luckily there was enough space under the fan motor cover for me to mount it this way. Overall, a great fan/light controller that extends the usability of most fans.

I replaced an existing controller because it operated on the wrong FR frequency to allow me to use a Broadlink RM4 Pro with Alexa to control my ceiling fan. Install was straight forward but a little tight (the old unit was thick at one end only). Once in, it worked perfectly and I was able to learn the functions over to the Broadlink without any issue. Providing it keeps working I am very pleased. Recommended

Works great and relatively easy to install; the labels on the wires were a bit hard to match up to the wiring in my ceiling, but that's not the fault of the device. It also would've been easier if the device were smaller. It's still pretty compact, but if it was half the size it would've been way easier to tuck away. I wish the remote control had a "reverse" feature to change the fan direction, but that's it. Otherwise it works great and relatively easy to install.

Works well. Very easy to install and small enough to fit inside the space from the electrical box to the anchor bracket. I’m not sure it would fit inside the canopy of the fan (Hunter Summerlin 48” fan). One funny thing I did notice is this remote control seems to void/bypass the pull chain control. When I turned on the power after the installation, the light came on with a beeping sound from the remote, but not the fan itself. I tried the pull chain and still nothing. Good thing then I decided to find some AAA batteries and try the remote control. Initially I thought something went wrong with the wiring and I just didn’t like the idea of having to uninstall everything to check the connections.
