For best results a dirt path with cement is the way to go

What's the ratio from Portland cement and sand and water?

1 part Portland to 2 parts sand in a sand-only mix. Add gravel or crushed stone to the dry mixture to a ratio of as much as 5 parts gravel to 1 part cement and sand mixture.

It hard to see in the pictures, how are the pieces held together?

Each section of the mold forms an individual stone. They are not held together. When you remove the mold, you can add sand or Polysweep in the cracks to stabilize the walkway.

what stops the stones from moving to the side? I have seen with regular pavers there are paver restraints. Does this product need it?

I did not use a paver restraint. I will be using tipple stone to put between the pavers. So far they are staying together and I love them.

Wrong size, not as advertised, damaged ends ..avoid

Wrong size it's mentioned as 16 inches, but actual size is 12.9 , ends were broken, cannot be used st all due to poor quality , avoid and don't waste money.
