A More Comfortable Option
We purchased this clamp to help my husband prepare for radiation treatment following prostate cancer surgery. He needed a metal-free option, and this product worked well. It offers three sizes, each adjustable for different levels of pressure. Even the next to lightest setting has been effective for managing leakage, and he finds it more comfortable than the one provided by his doctor. If youโre walking through a similar situation, you have our understandingโthis can be a challenging journey.

This has become my favorite clamp.
After nine months of clamp experience, including three BARD-CUNNINGHAMS and a URICLAK, the WIESNER clamp has become my favorite (I have two). The Cunninghams poke the inside of my thigh constantly and they get really nasty looking after about a month or month and a half. The Uriclak is very good, but a little hard to adjust wrapping surgical tape on the bottom and they are not as comfortable as the Wiesner. The Wiesner is so comfortable, I have fallen asleep with it on. I have seven layers of Johnson surgical tape wrapped not too tightly around each of mine. It took me a few attempts to arrive at this point but the effort was worthwhile. If your Wiesner clamp slips off, get the surgical tape and wrap it. I change the tape every couple of weeks just for my own OCD need to clean stuff. This was my first clamp after TURP. I was treated for prostate cancer about four years go with seed implants. I used intermittent catheters for two years, but two hospitalizations for UTI made me consider alternatives. The instructions for this clamp are a little arcane and don't really address major "operational" issues such as PLACEMENT to avoid pinching and the absolute importance of DRYNESS of all "components". It goes on easily and I have worn it for a much as three hours or more. I can go anywhere and do pretty much anything when I have it on. It's a great confidence builder. I returned the first one because I was too dumb to figure out the tape wrap solution. The folks at Uriclak gave me the tape idea. The problem with the Wiesner turned out to be me, not the clamp, but the instructions could still be clearer. Wiesner sent a replacement for the first one at no cost to me. I continued to experiment with it and can now report that it works very well if you take your time in arriving at the correct number of wraps of surgical tape to get it to fit. Did I mention the surgical tape reduces slippage as well? Call me a very satisfied customer!!

Non-Returnable, missing large size removable clip, easily lost item(afraid to over-tighten)
I read the reviews so I thought I would try this. I read the directions and found there was a medium size part in the unit. There were two others as spares. However both were marked S for small. There was no Large size. I received a medium and two small. I wrote to the vendor and they wanted me to take pictures of what I received. I am not computer savvy nor do I know how to send pictures on the internet. I found this to be difficult to use. I put this on and left it on and went about my daily routine. I felt the need to urinate, which I thought I would not feel the need. When I went to a mens room, I found that the device was missing. I looked all over for it. It was not in my bed, nor in my car, nor out front on the lawn. I do not plan to put up a lost and found for a "lost penis clamp". This company must believe I am a liar and was looking for an extra large size clamp that was not in the package. I was hesitant to tighten this too much as I was afraid I might cut off circulation and have to have my member cut off. Now I do not need any spare parts and will look elsewhere. I have no idea where it came off or when since I had slept with it on. If you buy this you may have better luck. The removable plastic parts have a small piece of plastic "flashing" from the "molding process" that might be uncomfortable. This item is Non-returnable. Sorry I did not do more research.

I decided I would order three different types of clamps offering some relief over wearing diapers and/or pads (I was going broke
I had a radical prostatectomy about 17 years ago. The surgery only caused a small amount of incontinence until I had a biopsy about four months ago which left me almost entirely incontinent. Since that time, I decided I would order three different types of clamps offering some relief over wearing diapers and/or pads (I was going broke buying them and I hate being wet). First, all the clamps worked relatively well in preventing leaking without a lot of discomfort. But there are some things one needs to do to make them work better. Whenever applied, the penis must be dry otherwise the clamp may slide off thereby causing that wet spot on the front of your pants (very embarrassing). About ever few hours, the clamp needs to be released and repositioned to prevent a lot of discomfort (the thing will really start to โbiteโ). Once every day or two, one really needs to clean it. How it is cleaned depends on the type of clamp one has. I have found having different types of clamps is useful in that each type of clamp provides pressure in a slightly different way providing a little relief when changing to a different type of clamp. Besides, one really needs a backup clamp in case one fails. All the clamps have a useful life of less that a year if used frequently. Below are my comparisons of three I tested: The Uniclad โ 4 out of 5 stars. Pros โ is a little more comfortable than the others, is easier to take off and on, is easier to release during urination, is more undetectable when wearing, has cylinder shaped shims for different size penises. Cons โ has more of a tendency to โbiteโ when not repositioned, has to be cleaned with alcohol (donโt use anything having much water), if urine gets on the metal parts, they will rust and fail if not cleaned & dried immediately, one has to be careful when putting in the shims or tearing of the rubberized holders will result, there are tab like extensions at top inside that could cause more discomfort, this device was almost twice the price of the others. The Wiesner โ 3 out 5 stars. Pros - almost as comfortable as the Uniclad, has a โVโ on the bottom to add pressure directly on the urethra with no additional discomfort, a thick layer of silicon for added comfort, can be cleaned with mild soap and water, is more undetectable when wearing, has a ratcheting mechanism for determining the exact amount of pressure. Cons โ a more of a tendency to slip off if wet, the ratcheting mechanism is on the INSIDE of the clamp on one side which adds to the discomfort if it moves and contacts the penis. The Cunningham โ 3 out of 5 stars. Pros โ has foam rubber making it able to tighten against the penis with more pressure, has a ratcheting mechanism for determining the exact amount of pressure and is on the outside of the clamp, has a โVโ on the bottom to add pressure directly on the urethra with no additional discomfort, can be cleaned with soap and water, less of a tendency to slide off. Cons โ if it becomes wet or dirty, it is more difficult to clean and dry because of the foam rubber, the foam rubber can become a little abrasive to the skin of the penis, the stainless steel latch mechanism is sometimes hard to โline upโ to get latched, the stainless steel latch sometimes has a tendency to rub on the leg providing a little less comfort. All of these device can make the penis a little sore so one needs a โpenis breakโ. When I go to bed, I use pads. Despite some of the problems, any of the devices would be better than buying and changing diapers especially when one is away from home.

I tried this for 2 days now and I feel comfortable while using it. No irritation or pressure. Just follow the instruction of use and you can use it for the whole working day. Its advisable to take a break of it after your activities to ensure blood circulation is not impacted. Heared of several negative feedback about its easy to break. This is quite true as openeing and closing clamp need some force, if its directed correctly it will last (as i hope).

Having to deal with incontinence at the moment after having my aggressive cancer-filled prostate removed, this WIESNER Incontinence Penile Clamp has been an absolute life saver. Iโm cleared of all cancer, but due to the incontinence, I felt imprisoned in my own home because I was too scared to go out. But on purchasing this penile clamp, I travelled to the Philippines for 2 months and was able to live a relatively normal life, which I would never have been able to do without this clamp. My advice would be, donโt buy cheap imitations on Temu. Buy the medically approved WIESNER Incontinence Penile Clamp!

I had a radical robotic prostatectomy two weeks ago. After the catheter was removed the taps were wide open and I was soaking a Depends maximum guard every 2 hours. This is a common response to prostate surgery and can last for many weeks. I needed a solution that worked better than the Depend guards. I researched all the incontinence clamps and Wiesner was rated the best choice. I was skeptical but ordered one from Amazon. It arrived in three days. The unit comes with three sizes (small, medium and large) and each size has three easy sizing adjustments. Medium size comes preinstalled on the lowest adjustment setting. The manufacturer recommends you start with the medium size. Instructions in the box were clear and easy to understand. The units physical size is small and easily fits under your clothes without showing. It is comfortable when you walk around, sit and lie down. (I walk one hour every day.) I started with the recommended medium size on the lowest size setting. I had slight leaking when I stood up so I kept the medium size but adjusted the sizing setting one notch tighter. That was perfect for me. No leaking when walking, sitting, lying down or standing up and it did not feel overly tight. When your bladder tells you its time to go, you simply release the latch and nature takes over. I don't even take the device off, just release the latch, empty my bladder and reconnect the latch. It is a simple process that I can do at home or in a public washroom in the privacy of a bathroom stall. (I don't use the urinal in case someone else comes in.) My big fear was the device would slip off when my bladder was full and the rush of pee would soak my pants. So being cautious I also wore this device with a Depends maximum guard under my blue jeans. The device did not slip off and my depends guard was dry every time. I wore the device in the shower and it did not slip off even when it came in contact with soapy water. A daily shower is an easy way to clean the device. The manufacturer provides one instruction to follow when wearing the device. You should empty your bladder every 1 to 2 hours. For me this is not an inconvenience since nature calls every two hours since my surgery. There is some concern I read in the customer reviews that said the plastic unit could break if you bend it too much. The solution for this is to handle with care and don't force it open or force it closed. Just take your time latching and unlatching the device. I paid $60.00 for the device. It was so worth it. My life has returned to normal and I can sit and watch TV with my family, ride in the SUV, go shopping etc and sometimes I forget I'm even wearing it until nature calls. I highly recommend this unit.
