As far as I know it is just a hot pot holder. No chemicals. Designed for a cast iron skillet.

It says “heat resistant material.” What is the exact material? Does this have any coating on them? 100% cotton isn’t typically heat resistant.

I've scorched several of mine. Can't say they caught on fire, so they may have some sort of retardant in them.
