I wanted something lite and airy instead of jeans to wear over the hotter months. These pants do fit the bill They are ankle length which I also like for the summer. I am 5 foot six and 135 pounds and I do not find them flattering. I feel hippie in them. Maybe it’s because of the large pockets and elastic waist which hugs. They are comfortable though. The legs are not tapered. Perhaps it’s just the way I am built. Overall, they are OK but I think a bit pricey for what you get.

These are great casual pants. They are fine around the house and for running errands. I wouldn’t say they are at all dressy, but they look fine for anything casual. The turquoise color is true to the photo, but seeing them in person made me realize I would probably prefer brown.I am in my 70s, 5.3” and 140 lbs. The XL is roomy enough that they glide of my hips which is the bane of my existence. The waist is roomy as well, but with the inner drawstring, I can adjust as needed. I would much rather have a loose waist than one too tight. I could probably have gotten a large, but at my age, I don’t think tight clothing is attractive.The fabric is a little stiff, but that is part of why they glide over trouble spots. There is a comfortable amount of stretch so that any activity could be performed. They seem to be well made, with no hanging threads or frayed seams and the length was about 1/4 inch longer than I like, but they will be fine. The zippers on the back pockets work smoothly.I actually bought two different pairs by this company. The other pair looks the same, except that it has a small cuff on the bottom. I am going to send these back and exchange them for another pair with cuffs. Those have all the same features and good qualities, but they seem to be cut just slightly different and fit my particular body better.

I generally love pants from this brand. I have purchased Baleaf's 25" and 28" five zipper hiking pant and love them. For reference: I'm 5'6.5" and their 28" hits perfect for full length on me and the 25" fits perfect for a cropped look. On these pants however, I expected a cropped length due to the description but they ended up fitting more like a capri - too short and looked awkward. I am pear shaped, 148 lbs, and buy a medium in this brand. The rest of the fit (waist, etc) was fine, just didn't care for how short they were. It's possible they were a one-off, but I returned them.Now for my mom who is 4'11", these would have fit her perfectly :)

Just a bit shorter at the ankle than expected but SO soft and comfortable!!
