Easy to Use, Great for a gift or for yourself!
I ordered 2 of these 1 for $400 and 1 for $200. I got a little nervous because the $400 one took a while to come (not instant) but several hours later it came with no issues and I was able to send it as a gift to my mom so she could book a hotel room vacation for my birthday while on vacation. Once it arrived, she was able to book the room with no issues using the gift card *note not all hotels accept gift cards on the site but if there is a Pay Now option you should be able to use it, and we also used the hotels dot com gc link others have mentioned in their reviews. When I got the second card for $200 a few days later, there was an issue with Amazon and I thought I lost my account, my account was on hold and we had to speak to a rep. and explain that it was us buying these (not scammers) and that everything was legit. After that, something must have cleared up because the gift card came and again, we were able to apply it to the hotels website with no issues. I hope to buy more of these cards in the future, so hopefully they will go through with no issues to my Amazon account.

Email delivery was 2 minutes - The catch is to shop first on hotels.com/cg
Thanks to the other reviewers, I was forewarned that this gift card cannot be used on just any hotels.com hotel. I phoned customer service first before buying this gift card. They informed me to shop on hotels.com/cg The hotel I was looking for at $106. per night, was there. So I bought the card on Amazon while i had the Hotels.com page open. It arrived to my email within 2 minutes. It's not possible to copy/ paste the gift card number because of the spaces. I found out that you have to type in the gift card number without the spaces. But you can copy / paste the pin number which does not have spaces. After I learned that, then the gift card worked immediately, and the site allowed a split form of payment e.g. part by gift card and the remainder by credit / debit card. NOTE: The card must be used with the 'Pay Now' option online. They informed me by phone that it cannot be used later at the hotel in person with the 'pay later' option. Hope that helps. And thanking all the other reviewers who made me causcious so that I got the answers by phone, before purchasing. FYI Amazon by chat assured me that if the card had not arrived quickly, that the order could be cancelled and re-tried. So if I were you, if what other reviewers said e.g. that it took days to arrive, I would not wait days, and would immediately phone Amazon to cancel and re-do the order.

Hotels.com Gift Cards worked for me!
So I received a VISA gift card worth $150 because I participated in one of those Health Fair things through my employers' insurance. I actually hate gift cards, because many (online) retailers [that aren't Amazon] won't let you pay with multiple payment options. Since I had an upcoming trip that I was alerted on from Google Flights and Expedia but had not booked the flight/hotel, I decided I would go through hotels.com and book the hotel separately (I'd only be saving about $40 bucks if I purchased a Bundle through expedia, but I'm getting rebated $30 from hotels.com after my trip anyway.) So I purchased the hotels.com gift card with the VISA gift card. Actually, what I did was reload my Amazon gift balance, of which I get a $10 credit on top of another $10 credit that I had earlier from another promotion in Amazon for a total of $170. So it was $170 that was purchased. It took a good 5-7 minutes before I received the gift card code/pin in my email, which felt like an eternity, but I did receive it. Once I did, I redeemed the gift card immediately and paid for the rest of my trip with my credit card. I got an email confirmation with my trip being booked. If you ever get a gift card, and want a dollar-to-dollar spend and you have a trip coming up or want one, I highly recommend getting hotels.com gift cards. Just make sure to use your VISA/MASTERCARD/AMEX gift card to reload/load your Amazon gift balance first to possibly get additional credits to go toward the amount.

Hotels.com is a terrible company
So I had used hotels.com over 200 times and one day I go to log on and I can't. I call them and find out that they had changed my password to an old password I had used. They didn't tell me why. I added my giftcard and paid for a room. Everything seemed fine. Then I find out the room isn't paid for. It seems that someone had used my account fraudulently and the way hotels.com deals with that is to flag your account and even though it seems you paid for a room they don't use the giftcard to pay for it but you don't get the money back and you can't get a straight answer from the customer service people because I'm not even sure they know what hotels.com is. I was also due a free night but I don't get that either. It seems to me that a person who has paid for over 200 nights legitimately is probably not going to use their own account if they suddenly turn to a life of crime to pay for one night. Hotels.com however are criminals who try to steal from you all the time. I once showed up to a hotel I booked to find out there were no rooms available. I'm not sure how this happens seeing as how I had paid for the room. Hotels.com tried to tell me I would not get a refund because I chose the nonrefundable option. I explained to them that it did not say that they were selling me a room that did not exist and so they would have to refund my money. You would not believe how hard they tried to refuse to refund it. I warn you that this company is terrible. Use hopper. The prices are lower and they aren't thieves as far as I've seen. Or agora. Anything but hotels.com or the parent company Expedia. The only way I will have anything to do with either of these companies is in a lawsuit.

Amazing gift
This gift card was easy to use. Once you buy it they send you a code via email and you just input it on your hotels.com account

Came almost instantly
I bought this to be a last minute gift. I've had different experiences with digital gift cards. Sometimes they will arrive very quickly, others will take the maximum amount of time. This one, was one of the fast ones. I was so glad it showed up quickly and I was able to gift it to my friend as I wanted to.
