Le Creuset Champagne Crown Sealer, 2.25", Black Nickel

I have many Le Creuset products and read very good reviews about this Sparkling wine sealer. It is costly, but nicely constructed and it comes with a 10 year warranty.

This stopper works great! My bottles have kept their bubbles for four days, not sure how effective it will be longer than that yet.

Bought this for a champagne lover. He had plastic ones before that broke after a while. He said this one works well and notices the difference in quality. I'm not one to know about these things, but just holding this, you can tell it's made well. It's heavy and sturdy. Worth the money spent.

This definitely keeps my champagne as fresh as it can. Read about it on a Car and Driver article, and they were right. This is the best option to preserve champagne. It fits most bottle tops except for Dom Perignon… but then again, once you open a bottle of Dom, it would be a sin to not finish it.

Very easy to use, durable and the seal keeps the champagne fresh. I was using one made by Rabbit, but the seal stopped working. Highly recommend.

I had never heard of a champagne stopper until my cousin, who drinks a bottle every week or so, mentioned it to me. In use however, no where near each other. I was able to get the Le Creuset to keep a bottle fresh for over a week, with multiple openings. With the Westmark, I opened a bottle 3 days ago, threw the top on, and just opened it for a glass of bubbly, only to be disappointed. It appears to have kept some sort of pressure, but no different than a rubber wine bottle cork or a piece of tape. The Le Creuset totally works, its a bit tall, but keeps bottles fresh for a long long time and is very easy to use. Feels high quality, even shipped in a fancy, felt-lined box. If you're going to buy one, buy a lever style. This one is pricey, feels worth it since I can't imagine I'll need as many champagne stoppers as I do wine stoppers, so I don't mind spending the extra money for it to work

We drink a lot of a certain Spanish Cava, and they redesigned the bottle recently. Suddenly, my Rabbit sealer didn't fit. In fact, by forcing it on and off the bottle I was ripping the insides to shreds. I don't usually buy a "New" product, because I depend upon other people's reviews, but decided to take a chance on this, mostly because it was a Le Creuset. Wow, I'm so glad I did. Why would I pay $8+ for a sealer that lasts a year or so, when THIS is available?! Seriously, it saves the bubbles so much better than any other sealer I've ever used. Even when there is only one glass left in the bottle, and it's been in the fridge for over a day, there is audible pressure release when opening! And while the bubbles have obviously decreased, it is not flat like with other sealers. This sealer is very sturdy-feeling, fits securey (I wouldn't worry about taking it on a picnic), and even fits my suddenly-wider bottle neck. 5-Stars, highly recommended. I can't believe the price, and wonder if they'll raise it after it's been out a little bit.

If you want to keep sparkling wine drinkable for more than a few hours, you need a stopper with an airtight seal, and one that can't blow off if the bottle gets shaken. This Le Creuset stopper cleverly uses the ridge around the bottle's neck to hold itself in place. You just slip it on and pull down the lever on the top which clamps a rubberised seal firmly over the mouth of the bottle. To open it, release the clamp with a flick upwards and slide the stopper off. It can be operated with one hand. You can transport bottles laid flat with the clamp in place without worrying about it blowing off or leaking, but make sure nothing can knock against the lever. Champagne and other sparkling wines retain their fizz for days with this stopper in place. The stopper, as you'd expect with Le Creuset, is well made, solid and durable. It's pricey, but if you've ever found yourself throwing away sparkling wine that's gone flat, it could pay for itself in time. Because it's precisely designed for standard Champagne bottles, it works with most sparkling wines that come in the same type of bottles, but does not fit ordinary wine bottles, and does not fit any of the Buck's Fizz type bottles that I've tried it with.

I have had several stoppers but they don't fit the narrow neck bottles from Bollinger or Deutz. Hallelujah! It seals them perfectly. What a cleverly designed product. Worth every penny.
