Nalgene Silo Water Bottle

I've been using Nalgene water bottles for camping, hiking, and everyday use for close to twenty years, and I can attest that Nalgene water bottles are durable, and will serve you well for a long time. I'm unsure what is recommended by the manufacturer, but I've washed mine in the dishwasher (top rack) for years with no problems. I recently ordered the Nalgene “Silo” bottle which holds a whopping 48 ounces! This is the first time that I have had one this large, but it seems to be made just as sturdy as all the others I've owned over the years. I purchased it to use at work, because I recently decided that I wasn't drinking enough water throughout the day – this bottle will certainly help with that! Since it holds 48 ounces, only have to fill it twice per day to have all the water I want. It was labeled “BPA Free” and I have no reason to doubt it. The “Silo” will not fit in most cup holders, so I also have one that fits in the car cup holder – it's a Nalgene OTF (On the Fly). The OTF holds 20 ounces, and has a different style cap that pops open with a button. Nalgene sells many various sizes, styles, and colors so you should be able to find one to suit you. I've always been a big fan of Nalgene water bottles, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a good water bottle. The picture on Amazon was of a Blue bottle, but the heading said Grey - which is what I wanted and received,

It’s a good water bottle. It holds water or whatever beverage you want. It’s tinted to 50 percent black and has a wide mouth bottle. It’s easy to clean. I like how translucent it is. It looks great stored in my backpack. And whenever I’d take this bottle to the gym or work the loop that attaches the cap, makes it easier to carry. It’s fantastic.

Great product!! But this brand is awesome. I love the size because it hold enough volume so I'm not filling it up all the time. I can also keep track of oz's I've drank easily with the measurements on the side. Perfect for the gym, and toting to work and class

Originally bought this to make a chicken watering container for inside our coop, which gets pretty warm in the summer. It ended up being too big for any of the bicycle water bottle holders we found so our daughter made off with it and LOVES it! It holds enough filtered water to last her all day at work and when she gets home she fills it again for the remainder of the evening. No funny plastic taste, even if the water sits in it in a hot car for a few hours! We will be buying another!

Love the size and that its BPA free. Some are afraid of the plastic smell but I have yet to encounter it, though I do wash it periodically. All day hydration.

Leak proof, solid above average volume water bottle choice. I use it for hiking to carry extra water for my dog.

All the goodness of a quart Nalgene, only bigger. Honestly, what's to say? Nalgenes are practically indestructible, I've been carrying the same one for over 20 years!! Same quality construction, just this one is bigger. Great product.

I don't mind having a wide mouth opening. It makes it easier to drink more water faster. It rarely spills if you screw the top very tight. One of the reasons I bought this was how much volume it could hold and that it had graduations. I only wish they sold like 2 litre bottles like this with graduations I would buy it in an instant.

I have had this product in the past and dropped it several times and it has not cracked.
