Can this be used with a floor lamp

I bought these to replace the small over mirror lamps in my bathroom when a shade was broken. They are small and I was unable to replace the exact original lamps but sourced these as the closest in size, material and quality. I had to adapt the top opening to my fitting as it was wider then my original. You need to consider all these factors for the fitting on you floor lamp. The service from the company was excellent, however. They were sent from overseas and were well packaged. Unfortunately, with my butter fingers, I managed to drop one and smash it so I had to re-order.
