Best for Chronic Dry Eye Syndrome
GREAT! I was diagnosed by my optometrist with chronic dry eye syndrome and this really helps me feel like I have moisture in my eyes. This result is a HUGE deal for me because I hardly produce tears. Also, I am a nurse and those long 12 hr shifts and horrible fluorescent hospital lights just really dried my eyes out! I constantly had eye strain and I used to wake up with extremely red eyes and grittiness in the morning. Well this overnight ointment solved all of that & more. Immediately my eyes were whiter and felt moisturized and even had lasting effects for the rest of the day. Before, I would be constantly putting artificial tears >4 x daily and Lumify to decrease the redness that would come back from the dryness throughout the day. Iโve even tried optometry prescribed cephalosporin-steroid eye drops & punctal plugs and while it did bring down the inflammation & reduce redness somewhat, it still left me feeling dry again within a few hours. But, with this ointment I no longer have to apply as many drops a day and I am now able to taper the dose of steroid eye drops! As other reviewers have mentioned, this ointment is pretty thick and leaves a blurry layer once applied so do keep that in mind. However, I do put a tiny dot in the daytime while I work my long shifts & it seems to keep me moisturized without causing too much greasiness. On a side note, I do have lash extensions & I was worried that this ointment would cause my extensions to fall out due to the mineral oil in the ingredients, however I have not experienced no lashes fallout when applied correctly by pulling the bottom lid down and inserting the ointment along the bottom lash line. Trust me this stuff will restore moisture to the eyes!! Donโt sleep on these, I feel my eye health getting back to normal!

Best product I have used so far! Beats Muro 128 ointment.
Best product I have used so far and I have dumped tons of money down the drain on drops, gels, etc. that do not provide relief! My dry eye leads to sticking and pain most mornings. I have tried the drops and gels without complete or sometimes any success. The Dr. recommended Muro 128 ointment but I have had difficulty with the application, as it is so thick. It worked well, just difficult, fussy and wasted product with failed attempts, and don't get me started on the outrageous price of that other product.I tried the Refresh PM and it was the perfect nighttime solution I had been hoping for! It is just a little bit thinner of an ointment and melts quickly. Instead of a glob in my eyelashes, I find it coats my eye and provides dry eye protection through the night. Anybody having trouble with other products that are too thin or too thick, I think this is the "Goldilocks" of dry eye nighttime products, JUST RIGHT and it is HALF THE PRICE!

Good stuff, not a great price on Amazon
Annoying, gooey stuff that really works. I use it at night in the winter and it really helps ease dryness & itchiness. In Jan, 2025 found it was much cheaper at my Publix grocery store.

I thought I would like this, but I don't
My eyes get really dry at night. My eye doctor recommended a gel that you put in your lower lid like this. The instructions say to put 1/4" in your lower lid, but the stuff doesn't come out from the tube very well. When I squeeze it, sometimes I get hardly anything; other times 1/2". It is so thick that it falls like a piece of string. I usually wind up with it on my eye lashes.Once in, my eyes are very blurry. When I wake up in the morning they are still blurry. My doctor said to use another drop, like Systane PF, to clear my eyes. I need to do that twice to get my vision back.I wouldn't mind all of that if this worked all night, but I still wake up in the middle of the night with dry eyes. They actually feel worse than when I don't use this.I had ordered this with automatic refills, but I cancelled it. A Systane night gel works better for me (but I don't like that either). I have tried six different drops/gels and am still looking. This, for me, is the worst of all of them.

The best product on the market for painful, dry eyes!!!
I AM SO HAPPY to have found this product again!! I have an illness that makes my eyes very dry. This product is the ONLY relief I have ever found for painful dry eyes. BE AWARE this product is nothing like an eye drop. It is more like Vaseline, but only until it hits your eyeball. Then, it melts across the surface of your eye in no other sensation than pure relief. ALSO BE AWARE that this product WILL cause your vision to be blurry. It is mostly intended for sleep, but, if you can spare enough closed-eye time for the product to dissipate, you will be able to finish that book/project/movie with no pain at all. How long does that take?? I don't think I am the best judge because my eyes are practically tearless. For me, maybe 20 minutes?? Also, be careful with application if you no longer have much sensation on your eye. The product is applied in a thin strip along the INSIDE OF THE LOWER LID. (Not as awkward as it sounds.)
