Take off the lid and spray nozzle, your see a red plastic safety catch, small screw driver and lift it out and bin. Great Paint, that caught me out the first time. Hope this helps. David

Is it heat resistant as I would like to use it to paint a wooden fire surround the fire itself is electric?

This product was not used by myself, because the shade of colour of the paint did not match my needs. Thank you for your enquiry.
