The combs are made of a thicker plastic. They were not what I was expecting but are really durable, great price for what you get and with the different colors you’re bound to find a favorite. I have thinner hair and my daughter has thicker hair (she’s so lucky) but the combs work great for both of us-so they appear to work on all kinds of hair types.

This comb is sturdy but didn't help my thin,fine hair. The teeth and the tip are very large. I couldn't even part my hair with the tip of the comb. Better suited for thick hair.
