Absolutely awful – not fit for use in the UK
Absolutely awful – not fit for use in the UKI rarely write reviews, but I feel completely misled and honestly quite frustrated after buying this XUW 55 inch UHD 4K Smart TV. This product is simply not suitable for use in the UK, and I can’t believe it is being sold here.First of all, calling this a “Smart TV” is misleading. It behaves more like a large tablet stuck to a screen than a proper television. The software is clunky, confusing, and clearly not designed with UK users in mind. After spending hours and hours trying to set it up properly, it became obvious that basic functions just don’t work as they should.The biggest issue is no proper access to UK services like BBC iPlayer. No matter what I tried—resetting to factory settings, going through every menu, reconnecting the internet—there is simply no proper way to get the expected apps working. For a TV sold in the UK, this is completely unacceptable.The interface is poorly designed, slow, and frustrating. It feels unfinished and not at all like a polished product from a reputable brand. Even navigating basic settings feels like a chore.Connectivity is another headache. Despite advertising HDMI, USB, DVB-T2/S2, etc., nothing integrates smoothly. You expect plug-and-play simplicity, but instead you get a device that feels incompatible with standard UK setups.To be honest, this has been a huge waste of time and money. I even reset the entire system hoping it would fix things—but it didn’t. It’s still just a glorified oversized tablet with limited usefulness as a TV.I genuinely cannot believe Amazon are selling this in the UK without making it clear that it may not support essential UK services. If I had read more reviews beforehand, I would have stayed well away.Save your money and avoid this product at all costs.

Update after a couple of days use.Returned it. Utter rubbish.Sound awful and needs constant adjustment. Apps don’t load or freeze.Don’t know what I was expecting really, but it’s just a bigger version of a below average TV.Sound quality is not great and you have do some adjustments to get it as you like it.I’ll probably hand it down and get a better quality one.
