Great quality, heavy duty cable that's well priced
We needed to fit a new plug to our trailer due to the old plastic plug getting damaged from being trodden on. On closer inspection the old lighting cable under the trailer had dropped to the road at some point and worn through to the wires so that needed sorting out at the same time. We chose the DARKGUARD eight core trailer cable as a replacement due to the RoHS and REACH compliance and also its overall larger diameter. The DARKGUARD cable consists of seven 0.5mm2 (20 AWG with 3-5 amp capacity) light function wires and one white 1.0mm2 earth return (16-18AWG with 6-8 amp capacity) wire so it's well able to cope with normal trailer lighting power demands. The DARKGUARD cable looks and feels very robust and should give many years trouble free service, we found it to be a really good quality cable and feel that it is very well priced too. We are happy to give it a five star rating and would say that it's well worthy of first choice consideration when shopping for replacement trailer cable. Five stars for quality, quantity, and price.

Thin
Thinner than normal cable, but okay for low power short runs. This uses 0.5mm cable which isn't rated very high over long run, so i wouldn't want to use this for high power lights. Typically these cables are thicker, but it does work for a short run. It is also more flexible than most which is a bonus.

Ce câble est souple et propose 8 connecteurs dont 7 de section 0.75mm² et un plus gros de 1mm². Il semble résistant, et facile à dénuder. Je m'en sers pour confectionner des cordons de raccordement en modélisme et j'en suis totalement satisfait.

Ich musste ein solches kabel erneuern, da kam mir der Test ganz gelegen. Das Kabel ist relativ hochwertig und lässt sich super verarbeiten.

El cable está bien, se trabaja bien con él y hace su función perfectamente. La cubierta es algo más fina que el que yo tenía anteriormente, (al que he sustituido con éste), pero me va bien. Asegúrate que las secciones, tanto de los conductores como de la cubierta del cable son las que necesitas, vienen las especificaciones en la descripción.
