Easy to track your vehicle and covert
Well I have had this for a month and it works perfectly. There was a week when it stopped working for a couple of days and I contacted customer support through the app. They were very attentive and, although the unit began working on its own, they were right there ready to help. Everything is as advertised. If you want to keep track of your vehicle it gives you a detailed map of where it’s been, including addresses. Suspect a cheating spouse, a teen going places they shouldn’t or driving too fast? This is the solution. (I will add the disclaimer that you should always adhere to legal rules and laws regarding the use of this item). With it installed in the OBD port it would be a rare thing for anyone unschooled in mechanics to notice. In fact, unless someone is specifically going to use the OBD port, the item would most likely go unnoticed even by a mechanic. The monthly $10 fee for basic service is worth it. That’s less than 35 cents a day! There is a battery monitoring feature and the unit goes to sleep when parked for a long time. So I do not see it draining the vehicle battery, and if it does, the unit will warn you before the battery ever goes dead. Easy plug and play install, the app is also easy to use once you get used to the various controls on the screens. I highly recommend this. If things change in the next few months, I will add to this review. I have had this unit installed for over 2 months now and it is working incredibly well. Do you want to track your vehicle, this is the tool. The detailed information it provides, including street view of the area the vehicle was parked is like having your own personal private investigator, only much cheaper.

Invaluable tool for parents and caregivers
Update July 2025: Even though my young adult has now been driving for over 7 years, the Bouncie tracker continues to be a highly valuable tool—especially with them frequently traveling to and from college and taking road trips. The peace of mind it offers is unmatched. In the past year alone, Bouncie has alerted us to two serious accidents where airbags were deployed. The real-time text and app notifications were immediate and reliable, giving us crucial information when it mattered most. It’s also been incredibly helpful in everyday situations—like when the driver is in an unfamiliar area and feeling unsure or confused. Being able to quickly check the location of the vehicle helps us talk through directions or nearby landmarks to guide them safely. In both accidents, I was able to provide screenshots to the insurance company showing the general location, speed, and time of the incident—something that helped streamline the claims process significantly. One small but appreciated feature is the notification when the device is reconnected to the vehicle. While I would love to see a notification for when it's removed, I understand that might not be possible since it loses power when unplugged. All in all, Bouncie remains an essential tool for keeping tabs on safety, especially as your kids grow into independent young adults on the road. Highly recommend! Older review: I've been using this tracker since 2018, and it continues to perform reliably. It provides real-time location tracking and allows you to set up geo-fence alerts. Notifications are sent instantly for driving behavior, low fuel, low battery, engine trouble codes, and even full airbag deployment. It can even track the vehicle's location while it's being towed. One of the biggest conveniences is that it doesn’t require charging—it’s powered by the vehicle's battery. Pros: Compact and discreet, especially when indicator lights are covered Instant text alerts in the event of airbag deployment Easy to set up and monitor via app Cons: Doesn't detect minor impacts like fender benders Stops working if the car battery is completely dead Overall, it's a dependable device with useful features for safety, maintenance, and peace of mind.

Might Save You From a Murder Charge
Greetings. I bought this for a very particular reason: to be able to prove my whereabouts in the event I am wrongly accused of a crime. This device is wonderful. It provides very detailed routes traced out in Google Earth or Google Maps. Tap anywhere on the route and you will see the exact time you where at that spot. You can place yourself anywhere at any time, with precision. You do not need to have your smartphone with you. The device communicates with cell towers, not with your smartphone via Bluetooth, so if you forget your phone at home or at the office it is not a problem. You can view your routes later, once you regain possession of your phone. The app shows your start and stop times as well as beginning mileage and ending mileage. Since it plugs into your ODB port it records mileage and even knows when you are low on fuel and warns you. You can program geofencing for your children to alert you when they either leave or arrive at a location you input into the software. You can set alerts for hard braking and hard acceleration to see if your kids are "hot dogging" your car and causing premature wear. There is just so much functionality to this thing because it is being fed real-time information from the ODB port. And the monthly subscription fee is very reasonable. I looked into devices like this years ago and the devices themselves and monthly subscription plans were too expensive. Bouncie has crushed these barriers to entry. The average person can now afford this technology. The only thing this device cannot or should not be used for is real-time driving navigation assistance. There is about a 15-second delay in your actual position and position on the map, so if you're looking for an intersection you will drive through it (miss it) because of the delay. Not a problem. Either use a dedicated car GPS from Garmin, Magellan, TomTom, etc, or use Waze or Google Maps as your real-time driving app. Another cool feature is that since it shows your route end location, you can locate your car in the event you forgot where you parked. I had to do this yesterday. Went to a mall and forgot where I parked. Pulled out my smartphone and pulled up the Bouncie app. It indicated on the map where my car was parked. This thing is so accurate it always shows me my EXACT PARKING SPOT +1 left or right, meaning if you pinch zoom while in the satellite map, it will show you the exact parking spot you are in or might err one parking spot to the right or one parking spot to the left. It's absolutely incredible. The unit does not fit tightly into my ODB port and I was afraid it would back itself out and fall to the floor after a few days, so I used a cable tie to wrap around the Bouncie unit and its support mount/bracket. It is now fully secure and will not back out. Recommend at least an 18" cable tie, if it is too long just snip off the excess with scissors. Be well. I hope you found this review useful.

AMAZING APP!!!!!
I rarely write reviews, but I felt it necessary to write a review on this product. I recently purchased a car for my 17 year-old and let me tell you, this device is hands down the best tracking experience I’ve ever had! The features that this tracker has are amazing! The fact that I can get an alert if my son accelerates too fast, hard breaks, or goes over the speed limit is priceless! It shows me the percentage of gas he has remaining, the health of the car battery and engine, crash detection, and it even sends me alerts if there is bad weather in the area that the car is in. So so many features! These were just a few. I was extremely nervous about my son driving and when I tell you, this device has brought me so much peace of mind! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the developers of this tracking device. Parents of teens, listen to me, if you want a tracker that is extremely accurate and has so many features, this is the one for you! Trust me!! I Love it!!!!!

Collision detection unreliable
I purchased Bouncie for my Turo fleet primarily because of its advertised collision detection feature. Unfortunately, that feature has been extremely disappointing in my experience. I’ve had between five and seven vehicles involved in accidents while using Bouncie, including some with significant damage, and I have never received a single collision alert. For fleet operators who rely on timely notifications, that is a major concern. As a basic GPS tracking device, Bouncie works well. The app is easy to use, location tracking is generally accurate, and installation is straightforward. However, the collision detection capability has not performed as advertised for me. Another drawback is that the device can be easily unplugged or disabled by a guest, which limits its effectiveness for vehicle security and fleet management. Overall, it’s a decent GPS tracker, but if you’re purchasing it specifically for collision notifications, my experience suggests you may want to temper your expectations.

accurate, impressed!
first i want to start by saying I have 3 teenagers, two are new drivers, one was involved in an accident, we live in Maine and there are no streetlights, it is dark up here, there was a car pulled over with no hazard lights and the man was standing in the travel lane by his drivers door, my daughter's car mirror hit his arm going at 50mph, pretty scary, the mirror broke and crashed the window but no damage to his car, long story short he started yelling at her, she still had her paper license and the actual one had not come in the mail, no citations were given meaning no loss of license, she was hysterical thinking she could of killed him and him yelling at her did not help (he was hurt and angry I totally understand what he was going through), she called me and could not give me her location, it was a nightmare I have LIFE360 on the kids phones but she refuses to use it, my other child left his phone in the car and I could track her that way. this BOUNCIE device is a life saver, I placed it in the car, she has no idea, my car my rules right! well enough said. I am buying another one now that I see what it can do. You can also go under notifications and get SMS messages, so many features. this GPS locator works really well! when I first placed it in my car the time was off and it did not show up on the app took several short trips on/off. I was expecting a 10minute drive would automaticly show up on the app but that was not the case for me. the time was off on the trip, I unplugged while in the off position then pluged back in and it was reset. A few days later my daughter went to work and I could see her driving with a small lag time, it shows the speed during the route under the "trips", the address where she is parked and the time she left the house and arrived at her job. it also has "trips" to review each time you go somewhere, the car's health, you can set a reminder for your oil change, tells you the battery health, engine health, and you can add multiple devices on the same app. I had a question about the time being off so I contacted the help center (chat with us) and got help immediately, he was very nice and helped me. I felt the support was quick and helpful, I would attach a picture but again my daughter has no idea it is installed, it plugs into the OBD port and it is not visible unless you know what you are looking for. simple the only thing you have to do is put the app on your phone and set the app up before you plug the device in because you will need the number on the device for set up. Overall, I would suggest this device to any parent who has a teenager learning to drive or a new driver, you never know how they will react when they get into an accident and with new drivers accidents will happen. I am very happy with Bouncie! Update: I was able to remove the vehicle information and remove the vehicle connected to the Bouncie device IMEI number (car was transferred) and connected to another vehicle replacing it. Going back and fourth I would not recommend but you can transfer the device to a different vehicle if needed. I was very happy and I just purchased my third Bouncie device.

Accurate, reliable, and packed with useful features
I am a Turo host and this is my go to for tracking my cars that have been rented. I have purchased at least 15 of these. I’ve tested a few GPS trackers, and Bouncie has been the most reliable so far. Setup was simple — plug it into the OBD2 port, download the app, and it’s ready to go. The app is well-designed and gives real-time updates, trip history, and driving behavior stats like speeding or hard braking. I mainly use it for monitoring my Turo cars that I have rent out, and it gives me peace of mind knowing where the car is and how it’s being driven. The alerts are fast and accurate, and the route history is detailed enough to review each trip. I even used it to track mileage, and it saved me time with record-keeping and tax filing. Pros: accurate tracking, helpful alerts, easy setup, affordable subscription. Cons: only works while the car is running, so not a 24/7 solution like hardwired trackers. Some renters have removed it making it difficult to track. Even though subscription is affordable it gets expensive since I use on all 20 cars. Overall, this is a fantastic option if you want reliable, accurate tracking without complicated installs. Perfect for businesses, parents, travelers, or anyone who wants peace of mind with their vehicle.

A life saver for keeping tabs on your kids - Accurate and easy to use!
I don't usually go out of my way to leave reviews unless something is really bad or really good. In this case I have purchased 2 of these GPS trackers for both my kids cars and they have been incredibly helpful to have and gives me peace of mind. My kids sometimes drive home late from work, or take longer trips, and this way I know they reach there destination safely, or if there is a problem like a flat tire, I know where they can be located. They are very accurate and work fine 99% of the time. Super easy to install just plug and play, and then track using their app. Its easy to switch between the 2 cars in the app. Its also great for keeping tabs on when servicing is due as it tracks mileage. Yes it costs a few dollars per month but for me its a cheap way for peace of mind!! and Kudos to the app makers as many apps are terrible but this one is pretty good.

Great product, great customer service
We bought this because of driving concerns with a family member who is showing dementia; there was an incident where our loved one went for a drive, got lost and It took more than 20 hours for them to find their way home. We needed something to provide peace of mind, ideally alerts and a last know location. Bouncie provides all of that REALLY, REALLY well. The setup was easy. We did have some trouble activating the device (it was registered to another account, so possibly a return?) but the customer service chat representative fixed the problem in a few minutes. No other problems and the OBD device was super simple to install. The monthly price, information it provides and ease of the platform are all excellent. We only wish it would provide more text/call options for those late night alerts. We linked Bouncie to IFTTT as well to help visually alerts us by blinking our lights in case we don’t have our phones nearby by - but a call or text would be helpful. We would also love to see Apple Watch integration. Overall, it does everything it say - and it does it excellently and intuitively. Highly recommend for a bunch of reasons and for a bunch of applications - but especially if you’re concerned about a loved one getting lost or confused while driving.

Très facile d’installation et aucun frais d’activation
Je l’ai installé moi-même et je suis une femme de 52 ans. Ça m’a pris 2 minutes.

Lots of features, not 100% reliable.
Nice to be able to see the car diagnostics as well as keep an eye on the vehicles. Gives quite a bit of peace of mind. Have had a few issues where the device has decided it was 'disconnected' for a period of time, it did generally correct itself without having to be re-installed. The other issue is more 'remote' areas, when travelling out to some more remote tourist areas, the cellular service has given out and the device was without connection while in the area. It did log the trip and keep distance and speed information when it eventually reconnected, but that isn't the value in a tracker is it?
