Keurig K155 Office Pro Single Cup Commercial K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker, Silver

Don't turn up your nose at the Keurig brewer. It can make decent coffee quickly and you can use your own ground coffee if you want to reduce waste. This brewer looks large but it really is not much bigger than the lesser Keurigs. It is a heavy machine, about 18 pounds. It's mass may be why it is so much quieter than any other Keurig brewer I have tried. The construction is a level above the residential models. The brew chamber operates smoothly and there is an extra pressure plate in the brew head that stabilizes the pod while being clamped. What I enjoy about this machine is its simplicity. I don't have to puzzle over an array of push buttons, most of which I don't care about but require my attention for every brew. Many complain about the lack of 12 oz size which I don't lament at all. That's the size you would select if you want a weak and bitter cup of coffee. There just is not enough coffee in a k-cup to make a decent 12 oz cuppa Joe. I use 8oz exclusively and since that is always the default size all I have to do is press "Brew" after I close the lid. From start of drip to last burst of air it takes about 50 seconds to extract a cup. This speed should ensure a poor cup of coffee but, surpisingly, in the Keurig system it works. Perhaps the slight pressurization of the hot water makes up for the short brew time, I don't really know. I do know the quality pods I use taste great. My favorite brand so far is Peet's. If you use the cheapest, most stale bargain pods you can find you will make awful coffee. I often use the 4oz size without a pod to preheat a cup and to get the brew compartment warmed up and cleaned. In fact, I use the 4oz rinse a lot because a clean machine is important to good coffee. This extra fussiness is not required but I am, by nature, a fussy person. I had tried the Keurig K-1500 and it has no 4oz size among other failings. (I found it to be very noisy and slow to heat. It also can't brew a second cup quickly, it has to heat up again.) I thought the K-1500 would be a cheaper and newer alternative to the older K-155 but it is miles away. Excellent aspects of the K-155 is that you can adjust the temperature within a 10 degree range. My test with an accurate thermometer shows the settings to be accurate. This amazes me because I see many review videos of other Kurig brewers where the temperature never even gets to 180. Keurig nailed the temp adjustment on this machine. I like that I can set the on and off times for the machine. It is ready for me in the morning and it obediently goes off at night. I drink coffee or want hot water all day so I don't use the 2-hour auto off function. I have two complaints. The first is that there is no backup for the time setting. If you momentarily use power the clock shuts down and so does the on/off setting and the auto off if you are using that one. How hard could it have been to include a button cell battery and a simple circuit to keep the clock alive? Very disappointing and annoying. My only other annoyance is the silly display. The little movie is repetitive and conveys information nobody was asking for. Why can't we choose to shut that down or suppress it. Both of these gripes are petty and not of much consequence. This brewer will give you your money's worth in decent quality hot coffee. My previous brewers have had fairly short lives and I am hoping this one will last. Oh, on a side note let me talk about using your own coffee. Keurig's left and right hands apparent do not communicate with each other. Keurig says you can't use a "my k-cup" in this brewer and that they don't sell one. That is only partially true. Keurig used to make a gray-colored my k-cup with a screw top. That has disappeared years ago and I can attest that it does not fit and that you really can't find them to buy anymore unless you go to the used market. So what does work. Amazingly the newer models works. These are the black ones with the big dot on the lid and the single hole in the middle. Just pop out the pod adapter and drop this in after being sure to remove the extra 2.0 device attached to the bottom. I'll attach a photo of the one I use. Keurig has just discontinued this item and replaced it with a 5-hole top version. This one also works with K-155 but Keurig does not seem to know that. There is a valve mechanism in the lid that closes off the 4 extra holes. Be aware that you must remove the pod receptacle in the head to drop a my-kcup. I see so many complaints from folks saying these don't fit and they include photos of it sitting atop the pod adapter. So, yeah, it won't fit if you can't read instructions. Thank you!

UPDATE: April 2020 — After nearly 4 years of heavy daily use, this coffee maker is still going strong. We’ve cleaned it several times and have had no issues or problems with it. I would have liked to have the direct feed water line attachment for convenience but other than that, no complaints at all! Well done Keurig!! ================= Sept 2016: I was a little skeptical at first because our previous Keurig 2.0 only lasted about 13 months (of course just after the warranty expired) but I am usually a proponent of buying "commercial" grade products for their durability - the adage of "Go big or go home" has merit! So we're still in the honeymoon stage with this brewer at just under a week but, I find it to be much a better made product than the previous Keurig we had and it also seems to brew a little quicker too. I thought I'd address a key point that some others had complained about: [TASTE] Whenever I buy a product that use for drinking, eating, etc., I always wash it first, I'm sure nearly everyone does that. After reading that some people had a bad plastic taste in their coffee and couldn't get rid of it, I went into this with my eyes open. Upon opening it and washing it the first time, I too smelled a strong plastic smell and having some experience with sanitation methods, these are the steps I took to eliminate this taste issue. Be prepared, it takes some time but in the end its worth it. Step 1: Fill the reservoir full of hot water leaving room to add about 3 cups of "other" liquids Step 2: Finish filling the reservoir by adding 1/2 cup of regular bleach, [unscented!] and 2-1/2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Step 3: Let soak until water cools off Step 4: Wash the reservoir with dish soap, I prefer to use the regular Dawn soap but I suppose any will do. Step 5: Fill the reservoir 3/4 way with filtered or bottled water and add 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Step 6: Without putting a pod into the brewer, run just the vinegar water through the system until it signals you the reservoir is empty. Step 7: Begin filling the reservoir with more filtered or bottled water and repeat step 6. Step 8: Repeat steps 6 & 7 above until you can no longer smell the vinegar in the hot water in the cup. By this time, you should have a cup of hot water that has no vinegar smell and absolutely no plastic smell. I discovered that it took about 20-25 cups to process mine, I wasn't actually counting but figured based on how much water I poured through it. Now I'm looking forward to great coffee - as is always the first step to any good cup of coffee, the water, be sure to use filtered or bottled water as straight tap water has a lot of calcium and other things that can make coffee taste bad. I bought the K155 commercial brewer for home use mainly so I can buy the direct waterline plumbing kit and never need to refill the tank (yes, first world problems). I also installed an RO system for our drinking water which I tapped over to the Keurig. This combination has been bliss in achieving exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, my first K155 lasted 26 months until recently (Texas snowmeggedon) I happen to need to reset a tripped breaker it was on and believe it caused a power surge and killed our machine. $250 over 26 months is less than $10/month, so I wasn’t terribly heartbroken, just coffeeless. I did call Keurig and spoke to an engineer about the issue and he told me these machines were not serviceable and it couldn’t be fixed. He did highly recommend the K2500 because it is serviceable, which I looked into, but it’s a bit more expensive and reviews we not that good. So I decided I’d bite the bullet and purchase another K155. Since I already have the $150 plumbing kit, this really made the most sense. I did add Amazon’s 4-year protection plan that seems to cover most possible electrical and mechanical failures that could happen. It also would have covered this power surge failure on this first one if I had it. So, if I get 4+ years out of this new one, I’ll be a happy camper. Overall it’s a great brewer. Paying $50 for the extended protection plan, in my opinion, is a smart buy. The brewer’s pump did get a little more noisy after a couple months, but always worked fine. The only issue I’ve had is I can’t seem to find a suitable reusable k-cup for brewing bagged coffee grounds. The interface is a bit different than the home machines so many of the designs don’t fit right. The one I found that did fit, doesn’t make a good seal on its top, so water spills over it instead of going through the coffee. Obviously, I’d buy the machine again, because that’s precisely what I did. It’s a little steep of an investment for a coffee maker once you add the cost of the plumbing kit (and water filtration), but if you can get the years out of it, the cost may be justifiable.

I purchased this Keurig 155 for my home only four months ago and it completely died. For the price I thought this would be a great quality coffee maker for our home that would last awhile….especially when our home averages only about 5-6 cups of coffee daily. I originally had a Keurig K-Cafe Special Edition Coffee maker that we’ve had for ages and works like a champ. The only reason I wanted the Keurig K155 was because of the extra water reservoir capacity. (😖 I should have just continued with my older Keurig and accepted a few extra trips to keep the water reservoir full) The issues started within a week of using the new Keurig K155. First it was the constant “water flow interrupted” warning that “sometimes” would resolve itself if I lifted the water reservoir then reset it back down. This might result in me being able to grab one cup of coffee only to have the water flow interruption warning come up again. I tried descaling it hoping that might help just in case I was sent a refurbished K155 without my knowledge. The descaling didn’t help at all and I just continued to lift the water reservoir up multiple times a week just to remove the warning prompt. Eventually my Keurig K155 died without a warning prompt and the pump just wouldn’t activate. I scoured the internet looking for “solutions” and tried several troubleshooting tips only to result with failure. I was beyond disappointed because this model of Keurig is certainly not cheap. Because it was barely 4 months old I contacted Keurig warranty department to make a claim under the 1 year manufacturers warranty. I had to do several troubleshooting tips over the phone but everything just failed. Keurig did indeed send me a replacement about a week later while I plugged in my older Keurig Special Edition coffee maker waiting for my replacement to arrive. When my replacement Keurig K155 arrived I unboxed it and plugged it in just to see if it would turn on. I saw in the fine print of the warranty information that I could be sent a refurbished K155 so I inspected it closely to see if I could find evidence that I received a refurbished one. It didn’t appear scratched or looked used as far as I could tell. 🤷🏻‍♀️ With all that said I wish Keurig would have replaced my broken K155 with a new Keurig Special Edition instead. Although it would have come as a loss as far as price I would have been happier with that decision. The K155 was nothing but trouble for me from almost day one. So much so that when my replacement K155 came (after I made sure it worked) I put it back in the box and stored it in my closet. I have zero interest in even using it as my everyday coffee maker. I’ll stick to my Keurig Special Edition and continue to be happy with its longevity and dependability. My only advice is to think long and hard before considering purchasing this K155…it’s expensive, it’s a headache and very unreliable.

Once again Keurig can measure liquids properly. 10 ounce setting is max and it is more like 6 ounces. Old machine filled cup at 12 ounce pour, now I need to do a 10 ounce and a 4 ounce to get it kinda close to a full mug. Machine is a little more noise then our last one. Also takes longer to hear up hut I think that has to do with the water line as the reservoir is a lot smaller. Nice looking machine but I don't see why it is so much more expensive. If it came with the water line replacement reservoir I would understand the cost, but it DOESN'T. Going to cost you a couple hundred more to hook it up to a water line. - Good luck!

I bought this in 2019 and it has given us zero issues. Well, except for one, if you want to call it an issue. The needle that punches the bottom of the K-cup started getting dull. I couldn't find any on Amazon that said it was made for this specific model. I contacted Keurig about it. I offered to buy a few, but they sent me one for free! It turns out there are some on Amazon that will work with this unit, but we've not had to replace the needle again. I have the unit set to turn on at 7:30am, so it is good and ready to brew when everyone comes in. This is a commercial environment so it gets used a lot! I love that it has the touch screen so everyone can pick how many ounces of hot water they want, then hit brew. So easy to use. I bought a de-scaler kit, but have never had to use it, since we fill the reservoir with water from a Zero water pitcher. We have had no problems with the unit and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, if we ever need to! Way to go, Keurig!

After all the reviews about bad plastic odours, defective water resevoirs, ect ect, I was really expecting to return this brewer (kept all the packaging) BUT, lo and behold, NONE of these complaints or defects were attribute to my purchase. Out of the box, no cleaning or cycling water I went kamikazee, filled the tank and immediately made my first cup. It was great, certainly not Starbucks, but for a 30 second prepared pod coffee, very, very acceptable. No odd flavours or plastic taste. The complaints of no 12 oz setting is easily circumvented by brewing a preset (its a 4 choice menu that is auto 8 oz, but all you do is choose another size) 8 oz cup, then do a 4 oz cup, easy as that, although it will be a tiny bit weaker than the 8 oz. The reason Keurig did this is that solo cups are MADE for the best result at 8oz, anything larger a little watered down and anything smaller a little stronger. Most K-Cups are not to my liking, especially the weird flavored ones (Krazy Kups), but I got the Columbian from Garabaldi, and they are super! I tried the Ethiopian and found them too weak in flavour. Dark roast is necessary to get a decent coffee taste from k-cups machines, I find. I bought this re-fillable: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00WAT0Q62?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd and it works just fine with the Keurig K155. I just quit my keurig 2.0 and could NEVER get the My K-Cup to brew anything acceptable. Weak and often filled with coffee grains, but the K155 brews a little differently (it prepares the water, then brews more quickly) and the re-fillable cup for $10 works fine (again it won't be a Starbucks) This K155 also will not brew K-Pods (for the carafe) and the k-cup holder ONLY will accomodate the small cups and not the larger carafe pods, which means your My K-Cup re-fillable for 2.0 machines won't work, but the one I linked above does work for the K155. The screen DOES have a very small clock (it has to, it has a timer), and in over a month the time is still accurate. The clock disappears when it scrolls through its various idle screens (totally an annoyance), and there is no setting to diable this, so clients critiques as to no clock are somewhat accurate. I don't understand, to be honest, why the settings are SO limited. You can turn the machine on via a clock setting, but why would you? It can't wake you up to a pre-brewed coffee, so I don't see the point. Also, it would be nice to turn on via the touchscreen but you can't, the power switch is on the back. A little awkward but no big deal. The tempurature is settable to scalding hot, something my 2.0 never achieved, and the brew sizes are dead on (4-6-8-10 oz, you choose after placing the k-cup) The 'build' of the machine is nice (but certainly fathoms away from a restaurant style chrome and steel machine) and as they market this as commercial, it is not robust enough for a commercial setting, although adequate for a 20 ppl office setting, providing everyone doesn't bang it around too much. It is all plastic, but looks sharp on any counter, and has the approx same profile and dimensions as the 2.0 It also has a port in the back for direct water plumbing but I believe it is an optional purchase for the hardware. Very important! The K155 has removed the DRM (digital rights management) from this machine, so any k-cup, whether Keurig sanctioned or not, will work. So, to end my review, this Keurig K155 is WAY, WAY better than its 2.0 cousin. It brews a piping hot cup as promised, and looks a whole lot better on the counter than the old machine. Basically, this is a souped up fancy home model. It brews faster, and better. It tastes richer, and you can get a decent cup from the re-fillable knockoff from my link above. It does cost a little more than double the 2.0, but if it lasts 3/4 years than the cost will be worth it I'm now off to throw out the box into the recycle bin. If anything untoward appears, I'll update and let you know - but so far, I am happy with the $ I spent. And Amazon Prime ships free, overnight! Java Ho!! *UPDATE - Have now had this brewer for over a year, and it maintains my 5 star review. No issues, works great, after a year of daily coffee making, still makes a quick, fantastic cuppa! I only use Death Wish, keurig Turbocharge or Gran Caffe Garibaldi (everything else is too weak) Still a great coffee machine after 12 months of use!

Recieved It Today, It's Very Nice, Huge Water Reservoir And Preheats The Water So It Makes Coffee Fast And Silent. The LCD Is Nice, But Isn't The Best In Terms Of Display Quality/Animations But Your Not Going To Sit And Watch It All Day, And It Does The Job Nicely. You Can Program Diffrent Things Like Clock, Temp, Auto On/Off Etc. The Power Switch Is In A Good Location Out Of Sight On The Back But Easy To Reach Without Going Behind The Unit. It Is Very Pricy Almost $400 And Probably Not For Everyone. It's More For Coffee Enthusiasts And Thoses Who Like The Best/Offices Etc. It Is Marketed As An Office Model But It Is Great For Homes. So Far I Am Pleased With My Purchase. Recommended If Price Isnt A Concern.

Purchased this 3 years ago (2021) for home personal use. It randomly stopped working. Black screen of death and it just makes a repetitive clicking sound when plugged in. Will not turn on or off, just clicks. After investigating, it is a known issue. For the price one would expect it to last much longer then 3 years. Prior to this, it was amazing! I purchased it after using the same one at my work for years. Figured if it worked for a busy corporate location, it would be above par for a home with 2 coffee drinkers. NOPE

I was not hesitant to purchase another Keurig as I have owned, and gifted away, several over the years. This was, however, one of the first commercial grade Keurigs I have owned, and we LOVE IT. We bought it for the entrance of our church, so that we had something that could keep up with the coffee demands. Super easy to set up, great size water reservoir, perfect brewing temperature, works great. Can totally see, in a year or 2, of upgrading to one that connects directly to a water feed...but until then we shall enjoy this one.
