Smooth writing and perfect as a gift
This fountain pen writes beautifully โ the ink flows smoothly, and it feels very comfortable to hold. The build quality is excellent, with a classic, elegant design. Itโs a pleasure to use for everyday writing, and it also makes a thoughtful and professional gift for coworkers or teachers. A great combination of style and function.

Sleek Design.
A nice, sleek fountain pen. More towards the smaller size, it's still comfortable to use, yet small enough to keep in a shirt or jacket pocket.

Nice Completement to Jotter and Mech Pencil
Finish and fit are fine. Complete my set of SS Jotter writing implements. Installed long cartridge that came with the pen and after a few minutes the ink was flowing. Unlike other cartridges there's no snap sound to tell you it's seated. Wrote fine and ink flowed was good. Skipped a few times but figured it was new. Left it overnight and the nib would not feed. Took the cartridge off, stood it upright, then flushed out the nib and ink channel. Let dry and reinstalled the cartridge. Working fine since. So it does need a flush out before installing ink cartridge or converter.

Very nice
Very nice pen. I'm able to write for literally hours with this pen when I've had issues with hand stain or finger pain from other fountain pens. I highly recommend getting a Parker ink charger for this pen, however. You will need to make sure it's a PARKER charger, though. A standard fountain pen ink charger will not work in a Parker pen. With a charger you can buy bottles of ink in any color you want and it's far cheaper and better for the environment than using disposable ink refills.

Always a winner ,never fails to come please.
Love it and have been using this brand since my first ones back in the 70's when we had to use a fountain pen to write. ( back in South America ,Argentina to be specific) Never lost the pleasure of its fine craft for a decisively different penmanship .

a steel pen with contemporary looks
I bought this pen solely for the purpose of seeing for myself how thick should a medium line look like? I had purchased another Parker 45 NOS Medium nib from Amazon earlier. Because all of my previously purchased fountain pens has a Fine nib, I wasn't sure if the thick line I'm seeing from that Parker 45 is "normal" or not. Well I got my answer - according to my own collection of fountain pens, it seems that a medium point nib would at first show very thick lines, even thicker than Broad (from nib comparison charts). This usually happens right after it gets inked. It had happened to my Jinhao X450, my wife's Diplomat, W&B, Cross Bailey, the Parker 45 (all purchased from Amazon, and now the Jotter. What to do? Don't panick into thinking your pen is bad. Just store the pen nib pointing upwards, and start writing. Some Youtube video shows how to make a wet pen drier, or how to make a dry pen wetter - but remember steel is rigid and has a memory! I noticed that after I have used the med nib pen, the lines start to get thinner. Now all of the med nibs in the household write normally, not like the original super broad lines when they were first out of their box. And now, just like some commenters said on Reddit - your taste in nib size can and will change! I started out favoring Fine, XF, avoided Med. Now I appreicate the Med nib's characteristic to "float" across even cheap paper where a Fine would be scratchy and squeaky, XF would "trip over". One just has to loose the old hard handed habbits learned from using ball point pen & roller balls. This Parker FP w/ Med writes well, and it's sturdy. I like a steel pen with contemporary looks.

Good but just short of great.
I'm not a calligraphy expert and would never claim to be. The way I hold a pen means I can't use a ballpoint pen since it smudges the ink as I write. I need a pen with quick drying ink that won't smudge or wipe off. When I was in high school, I constantly found Parker brand pens dropped and have always been a fan of the brand. Going into this purchase though, I was afraid that the negative reviews on this website would prove true and that the brands quality had slipped. To be honest, it was more in the middle of quality. The pen to me is small and I mean small. When I write with it, the size and weight remind me of a Bic disposable. It cramps my hand mite when I write for longer periods. I also don't care for this proprietary cartridge nonsense. Fountain pen ink cartridges are fairly universal in every other pen I have owned and this design really does feel like a way to suck more money out of the customers wallet. All that negative being said, it is perhaps the smoothest writing pen I have owned to date. The medium nib is perfect for keeping up with my day to day writing as fine and extra fine nibs have had a history of clogging easily when I wrote and the ink flow being scratchy and incapable of keeping up with my fast hand writing. I don't know why people are complaining about scratchy or inconsistent. I also love the ink as it dries extremely quickly and is bold on almost every paper type I use. Honestly, if it weren't for the size of the pen and cartridge design, this pen would easily be a 5 out of 5 for me, especially at it's price point.

Wonderful fountain pen
Writes perfectly for me (M). I've put the Parker Piston Converter De Luxe C.C. in it instead of an ink cartridge using Diamine fountain pen ink. To be clear: the pen comes with one blue cartridge, the converter is not included.
