Can this be used on concrete or granite?

Yes you can stand on those materials while using this tool on minor tasks. For goodness sake, it's only 3.6v!

The screwdriver gets pretty hot while charging. Others mention that, too. Is that normal? Will it overheat?

I charge mine regularly, and mine doesn't get hot. It's warm when plugged, but when I unplug it, it cools down while I am using it.
