Review: A Must Have and Impressive Battery Life - I was pleasantly surprised by these. Having come from owning a PS4 prior (which comes with a rechargeable battery in the controller out of the box) I always thought of XBox controllers and needing separate/3rd party rechargeable batteries as kind of cheesy/low quality. Let me tell you, its the other way around. PS4 controllers have notoriously poor battery life. They dont hold a charge well when being idle and in use they deplete in just a few hours. So on to the actual review... Using Xbox one X (XB1X) with 2 standard Microsoft black XB1X controllers Pros: - Doesn't take up a USB port on the XB1X - Charges quickly (0-100% roughly 2-3 hours) - Doors provided work and do not add any extra bulk to the controller - Impressive battery life! I got roughly 20-30 hours of game play spread over a 2-3 week period off a single charge. - Can replace the battery instead of whole controller if a battery stops holding a charge Cons (Have to really put effort into finding any): - Controllers do not snap or anchor into the base, so if in an area they may get bumped into they could fall off stand. - Wall wart (AC Charger) could have been less wide I do not have an Elite controller to confirm compatibility however my box clearly states that it is compatible. My package came with 2x black doors and 2x white doors. Not sure if this is just aesthetics for those with different color controllers. I used the black doors on my 2x standard controllers. I was not expecting these to have the kind of battery life they have had so far. Its possible over time they will stop holding a charge as well, but even if I have to replace the batteries every 1-2 years its well worth it. If they start showing significantly lower battery life in the near future, Id have to change my review but so far if they stay at the current level I am getting more than I thought I would. I would highly recommend these batteries/charger for any XB1 user. Review: Great $$$ Saver - This charger setup is great for the Xbox one, making it so you never have to purchase expensive batteries for your controllers again. This is my second charging station because I purchased a second game system and I liked it so much I bought one for each. The one I originally purchased has been working flawlessly for over a year now. This charging system comes with two rechargeable battery packs and two slotted battery door replacements (which is nice for those of you that have multiple controllers). Sleek black/silver stand design that will match most decor. Has sufficient battery life to game for 1-2 days of heavy play or 4-5 days of normal play on a single charge. Only slight issue I've had is sometimes you have to wiggle the controller to have it sit in the cradle properly and make contact to charge. The clear plastic is illuminated by a red LED to show your controller is charging and a green LED when it's finished. It only illuminates when there's a controller present, otherwise all lights are off. Pros: Good battery life Saves $$ over buying batteries Small, doesn't take up much space Convenient green/red LEDS to let you know when fully charged/charging Cons: Controllers have to be positioned perfectly to make contact for charging No option to charge while you play if you only have 1 controller

Great charging station for Xbox controllers
I purchased this charging station when it was on sale. For the money even when not on sale it's a killer deal vs play and charge kit from Microsoft. When I got my Xbox One I thought about using my EBL rechargeable batteries from my camera flashes however I thought a station would be a lot more pleasing to the eye and I wouldn't want to swap batteries back and forth. It looks nicely next to my xbox and does its duty. Only things that I can take one start off the rating are: Finicky hooks to put the controllers on. I am not sure how they will behave long term Xbox One won't show correct charge status but 3/4th full. Though I'd say they last good 5-8 hours of solid gaming for me. Also another concern is reliability of the battery packs which are in fact to rechargeable batteries fused together in the enclosure. Though the kit is cheap enough and quality is good to be replaced again over year from purchase.

Must have for your Xbox One
I read about people having trouble getting them to charge so it made me hesitant at first to buy it. But I can say that it is no problem for me at all. Really simple to setup and it holds the controllers good. Very nice product! UPDATE 3/2/14 Seller responded to my claim and asked for me to repackage it and send it back where they would "test" it and or try to fix it. If it was no good they would refund my payment or send me a new one. Which is ok but I'm not waiting dumb long for all that. Amazon pretty much instantly refunded the payment to me. That's why I love shopping here they are really good about returns/refunds. UPDATE 2/27/14 One of the charging packs appears that it does not charge up! I didn't notice this at first because even though I have 2 controllers nobody else really plays but me. When I tried to use my other controller it was dead. Okay, maybe I had it set wrong. Nope. I even switched the packs in the controllers and it did the same to the other controller. This blows because the working charge pack works really good and holds a good charge. We'll see what happens but I know Amazon has been really good with returns/credits in the past to me. Not lowering my rating because I believe I just got a DUD pack which happens out there.

MUST have for your controllers!!
When we first got our XBOX One a couple of years ago, one of the first things I bought was an extra controller and the only rechargeable battery setup available at the time; sold by Microsoft and it is virtually a battery that is recharged through the USB-mini port used to calibrate the controller. This was fine. Only catch was that you had to use a very specific cable to charge it (only about half of my assortment of cables would charge it), and it was clearly hooked to a cable to charge with no indication when the charge was full (just go with "about 3 hours" and it has always worked). Along the way we have upped to 3 controllers now and as I used my original setup with one controller, the 2 others were powered via plain old batteries and an occasional set of rechargeables when they weren't cycled in something else. Then I ran across this gadget a couple of months ago; one that charges two at a time, with a visual lighted indicator to tell when the controller is charged (and a stand, but that's just convenience). I mean if you are into conserving batteries and being efficient, this is a MUST--especially if you go through batteries like we do (3 boys and an old geezer gamer in me; almost always somebody using). The stand is aesthetic enough to set right next to my XBOX One and I simply pull a controller off as I play, and just set it back down on the charger when done. Every time playing with controllers, they are fully charged. A rough estimate is that one was being used for 2-3 hours the other day and it recharged in maybe 15-20 minutes. Only thing I cannot speak to is the life of the batteries as we have only had a couple of months (aside from the rough view I observed above)...Maybe in 6-8 months I'll update review on how durable the batteries are over time... Do know, my first solution above was about $25 (for one controller), I picked this up for $20 (two controllers), so it's seemingly a steal to me...Hope this helps.

But it's almost useless now.
"It's Ok......... But it's almost useless now..... And I'm looking for a different setup" I had the Xbox 360 version of this charging station which is still plugging along (going on like 5 years now). You have to physically plug the controllers into the old one which was great. This new one uses 3 metal contacts nestled into the clear plastic shelves and you have to set the controller onto it just right, hold your hand over it to adjust it if necessary, probably for about 2 minutes, then walk away. Only you come back in 30 seconds and it's either flashing red or not on at all. I've had this charging station for about 2 years now. I bought it shortly after purchasing the One because I loved the 360 compatible model. Unfortunately this charger didn't charge as fully as its predecessor, which was fine (that's why you buy 2 controllers). For a few months it worked pretty well. Now it won't charge hardly at all unless you literally adjust the controller 20 times and triple check to make sure it's still charging. The charge time has definitely increased - my controllers will maybe last 2 days before having to be recharged - and I play maybe 15 hours in week at the most. The design of the product if perfect. It's cool and modern - taking elements from it's younger brother and incorporating the evolution of the industry into it's new form. The function falls flat. I have a feeling the plastic has spread because it can't hold the weight of the controller itself, thus preventing the contacts on the battery pack to completely connect with those on the station. I managed to wrap a rubber band around it to make it work a few times but now even that won't suffice. I'm looking to buy a different setup.

Better than Nyko charge base
This review is for the Microsoft licensed Energizer 2X Charging System for Xbox One (standard edition) I purchased this charger to replace a Nyko charge base. I have been using this charger for 4 months without any problems whatsoever. The charging stand is actually fairly sturdy, despite looking like it could fall over at any moment. Putting the controllers into the charger is very simple, and requires minimal fiddling to get the controller to seat properly. It lights up red to indicate when it's charging, and green when it's done charging. There are 3 things you may want to consider before buying. 1. The base will remain lit green when it's done charging. 2. The battery life can be a little short. Especially if you are using a chat headset. 3. This base will not be able to charge the Xbox One Elite controller. The items above are not really a problem for me. I would definitely buy this item again.

Elegancia comodidad y calidad

Love it despite a blunder from Amazon
I ordered this due to being fed up of having to cycle batteries for the Xbox One pad. The main problem being the inexplicable ommision of the flashing low battery indicator the 360 enjoyed meaning the pad simply turns off without warning during gaming. I also chose this one because it's officialy licenced and MS reccomend it. Furthermore, I wanted a perpetual power solution as the licenced headsets now utilise power from the controller. The Amazon blunder was that I was sent a unit with a euro plug. I phoned Amazon and to be fair they offered either a partial refund or to return the product. I chose the partial refund as I had a euro plug adaptor already. The refund was made immediately. So, the product. The batteries charged very quickly, about 2-3 hours, and I have yet to even make a difference in the battery charge indicator after a gaming session. The unit is sturdy enough and the controllers lift out and drop in. So as long as you're not heavy handed there is no need to put any stress on the plastic recepticals when placing or removing the controllers. The electrical connection is achieved through small metal springs that connect to a small area on the battery cover. These springs do feel very delicate, but again, as long as youre not extremely heavy handed they shouldn't become damaged. Be aware that the included batteries each come with a special bettery cover for the controller. These have a V ridge to the underside which can be felt with the fingers when playing. This is in contrast to the Xbox One controllers' battery cover which is smooth, and could be a disraction to some players. A small detail, but if you're one of those gamers who would be easily distracted by such things then it could prove a deal breaker. One final note, if you are using these in a bedroom then the LEDs when green are pretty bright so it may be neccesary to turn the unit off at night. If like me you will be using it as part of a living room entertainment set up then personally I think the LED indicators make a cool addition. However I cannot find any detail as to their power consumption when the batteries are charged and the unit remains on. So at this point I cant say whether it enters a low power stay charged mode or just keeps eating the power. Overall, so far, very pleased with the unit. Personally I feel the unot is good value for money compared to an official Play & Charge kit, especially if you have two controllers. I would definately reccomend this to friends.

Perfect accessory for the Xbox One!
Bought this for my girlfriend as I have one of my own and it has been the best thing I've bought for my xbox one since I got it. Batteries are very reliable and have a very long shelf life. From empty to full, charges in about 4 hours as advertised and can last in excess of 12 hours of continuous gaming depending on the game. Initially I received what I believe is the updated model, which was defective out of the box as only one of the charging ports charged properly. Amazon was very prompt in helping me out and sending me a replacement model which upon receiving was the same model as the one I own which works flawlessly. The design itself is very aesthetic making it nice to sit on the entertainment unit and the LED charge lights clearly tell you when the batteries are charged and when the connection has been made. All in all, excellent purchase and strongly recommend! 5 stars!
