Schaum's Outline of Differential Equations, 4th Edition

I used this book last year when I took differential equations online and found it to be very helpful. I actually found the level of difficulty of most of the problems to be higher than those I encountered on my exam. Maybe it was just me, but I feel like if you work through the problems in this book, you will be more than prepared to encounter whatever you may come across in a differential equations class. If you put in the work and pace yourself through the exercises (trying some of the easier and more difficult ones) you'll be fine. Highly recommended!

Has several examples for practing to perfection.

A good add-on for standard textbooks. Worked problems help make sense of the course. Purchased for second year engineering student.As good today as 60 years ago... a life-saver!

This Schaum outline is not the first book to go to to gain a good understanding of the topic of D.Eq.. It is good to review some problems but solving many different problems without first having built a good understanding what differential equations is , makes a student forget key ideas essential to remembering why the subject exits. So my feeling it is a good supporting tool but not meant to get a good grasp as to why you are studying D.E. . Good luck. Gerard

Great problem solver. If you are someone who learns by example and not so much with theory, you should get this. I still failed the class because my professor was a SELF RIGHTEOUS ARROGANT person who didn't like me. I also got this book 3 weeks before finals when my grade was already unsalvageable. But had I gotten it at the beginning, an above average grade would have resulted without a doubt. Also don't be afraid to drop classes to get different profs. That helps too

Bang for your buck, best DE book practice you can have. So cheap and useful! Has both differential equations and some linear algebra.

While not a complete introduction to the theory of Differential Equations, this guide shows practical examples that are useful as a supplement to a more traditional textbook. Would recommend for anyone interested expanding their mathematical aptitude.

The book helps a lot for the class. However the only complaint was with the time it took to arrive at my house. I'm not sure if I misread something before the purchase but it didn't arrive until a week after the class had already started. Keep in mind this was a summer class, so a week is equates to about four weeks in a regular 16 week semester. Nevertheless it got here to fulfill it purpose. I assume it took so long so that it wouldn't add any additional cost to the final price. IF i were to purchase again from this shipper, I would pay better attention to the projected shipping times.

Ótimo para consultar durante a resolução de exercícios. Muito bom para usar como referência. Também é muito útil para consultar durante provas.

this book is really good for a 1st year uni course in differential equations. you should us it for practice questions which have good clear solutions. However, i find the explanation of the method not clear in this book. should be used as a question book.

Ce sont surtout les exercices pragmatiques avec leur corrigés, qui font que ce livre vaut bien davantage que tous les cours sur les équa. diff. que j'ai lus ou suivis.
