Review: Doesn't actually fit around a pedestal sink as you might assume - This is pleasant if basic cupboard. The listing appeared to me (and I completely accept that it was my own assumption but I also notice that many other people thought the same) to slide around the pedestal of your sink thanks to the pre-cut cut-out. It doesn't. The line in the listing details that says: "Includes pre-cut slot so it can nestle under basins while still flush against walls" should add ... assuming that your sink doesn't have the pedestal and is the correct height. There is a graphic with accurate measurements on - so please check those before buying. There are also no cutouts in the shelves inside the unit - so you really need to be sure that your pipes don't protrude too far from the wall or it will be completely unusable without major joinery work. OK - you might think - no biggie - my pedestal is mostly for aesthetic reasons I shall just remove it. But that doesn't work - at least not on any the sink in our house because the unit is too short and you end up with an unsightly waste pipe between the top of the cupboard and the basin of your sink. And the pipes in many British homes stick out too far so unless you want a large gap at the back of it this might not work. The quality is OK - nothing to write home about - but not nasty. Although at this price point I have seen nicer ones in friends' homes and when I asked they said they got them at Argos or similar shops and for less money, Review: A little basic but quite neat - This is a decent, tidy little cupboard. It has a few quirks. Fo example, the side walls have a lot of holes which appear to allow adjustability of shelves, orientation or way up, but in effect actually don't, as far as I can see. Little plugs are included to put into the holes, but there's not enough for all of them. The inclusion of glue for the doweling rods is nice, and works well. The back panel goes a little way up, and can be adjusted, to give space for pipes and U tubes so thereโs a little bit of flexibility for the plumbing shape. Do double check the appropriate holes for the hinges into the walls though, as the blunt end screws do leave a bit of a mess if screwed in and removed. It has little plastic feet, basically thick-headed drawing pins, which are to be hammered into the bottom of the walls, so would partly protect flooring, and could be adjusted a little for uneven floors. There's an edging to slip around the top hole to protect from drips or damp etc, but other back and underneath edges aren't sealed, so ultimately it might well be vulnerable to long term or bad damp. One nice touch on the instructions was to have a time estimate for construction. It seemed generous at 75 minutes, but in fact that probably wasn't too far off. I certainly didn't rush, so with wit, decent tools and no 'little helpers' (my kids whose DIY enthusiasm outstrips their DIY ability), it probably would be a chunk faster. It's a reasonable MDF-type kit, and so long as the measurements are close enough to whatโs around your sink, it will smarten up and make use of an otherwise ugly and wasted space in your house.

Nice vanity unit
This isn't the kind of thing which particularly wows, though that's, in this case, quite a good thing. We just needed a small unit to sit underneath our bathroom sink and house toiletries. It does that job pretty well. It's very easy to put together (which is handy, given that the instructions are poor) and looks pretty good, in an unobtrusive sort of way once you have it installed. The design is fairly straightforward (plain, to be perfectly honest, but that's absolutely fine as it means it's quite a versatile product. It won't turn heads or anything, but it's a well priced and pretty effective option for doing this particular job. Highly recommended.

Okay but a customised solution would be better
The space under the sink is often under-utilised. This unit is designed to sit under your sink to turn that space into a storage space. First thing to say is if you want maximum utilisation of that under-sink space then you need something customised and probably not this. Sinks that come with their own drawers and cupboards are probably the best for this. But if you donโt want to get a new sink installed and just want to fit in a unit around your existing sink then first measure up. Usefully this product has a nice image on the Amazon page (image 4 currently) that gives all the measurements. See how your measurements compare and see if it is the one for you. Also look at other available units and their measurements before deciding. Even after doing that you have to bear in mind pipes and things. You can see in my photo that the unit is not up against the wall. To get it to the back I still need to cut bits out of it. So bear this in mind too. The unit comes flat pack with picture instructions that are easy enough to follow. Youโll need a screwdriver and a drill for one bit. Everything else is there. Once put together it looks a bit basic. It is a simple 2-shelf cupboard with no drawers. It is in grey and white. It has nice feet that allow this to be moved easily across the floor. So it is okay but a customised solution would be better.

Love this modern well built cupboard.
This cupboard when built is exactly like the picture. It looks clean and modern. Being my first time building a flat pack this took me about an hour and a half to fix and I did not find it to difficult. It does need some cuts round the back though to fir around our pipes which I cannot do so I have to wait for help.It has one shelf in the middle and a cut out for the sink. As we are having a new sink fitted in the cloakroom I can have the sink to match the same height as this cupboard. I like the grey top with matching handles, looks nice and modern, the cupboard has an easy clean wipe down surface and will look nice against my white tiles.

Measure carefully before purchase.
Bit of a conundrum with this item. First off it is very well made and attractive in a very modern sense - it is white and grey and I thought excellent for an under sink cupboard. The unit itself has door which open and close easily and there is a middle shelf to add to the storage options. So overall it is attractive, easy to clean and has a number of storage options. Everything good so far, but installing it under the sink was a completely different matter. Down pipes should be standard, or at least you would think so. As we hadn't measured, I was not surprised to find that this unit dod not fit as well as I had hoped, although being dextrous and capable at DIY, with careful use of a jigsaw and a little white tape to mask the alterations, ours fit perfectly. Most people would not to do this and so I have deducted two stars! Basically the deductions are to do with the fact that even if you measure this item up, it does not tell you how deep the inset is from the edge' in our case, this was the issue and resulted in me having to cut a piece out. As a Vine reviewer, I haven't purchased this product, had I done, I think that I would have returned, rather than, altered it.

good cabinet, pity it didn't fit where it was intended.
A sturdy little unit, easy to put together. My husband embraced it as his coffee time project and had it done and dusted in 45 minutes and without any swearing. It's a good price and there is good storage space inside with a bottom shelf and a top shelf that will eaasily hold towels or toiletries. Pity that the cut out slot fitted none of our sink posts in various rooms where the unit might have proven useful. But, never mind. Needs must and it has made a terrific little side table in our sometimes used spare bedroom for visiting child. See photo. We covered the gap with a canvas storage container in grey. From my experience, check whether this will actually slot around your sink post. Otherwise it's good for the money.

the cupboard is easy to put together and it looks really nice in ...
I've wanted a sink cupboard for a while now, so i took the opportunity to try this one. Unfortunately I came unstuck when putting the product together because the slot for my sink was far smaller than I essentially realised. However, I do have the tools so I set about cutting out a larger slot. This needs to be repeated on each piece of wood for each shelf. By the time I had finished I had reduced the overall cupboard space so less storage is now available. However, the cupboard is easy to put together and it looks really nice in my white bathroom. The extra additions I made to the cupboard didn't take too much longer to be honest, so if you are looking for a white cupboard for your bathroom and are happy to make any changes if you require them, then this product is worth a look.
