Of all the decorative/fun kitchen utensils I've purchased, this is my favorite. It's actually sturdy, properly sized, and does the job that it's supposed to do. Plus come on! It's a Pastasaurus! Update - I purchased this back in June 2015. It is now September 2016. Time for an update! The pictures posted with this review were taken in Sept 2016, but I have to admit that this thing looks exactly the same as it did when I ordered it. I like to follow up on items that impress me after a great deal of use, and this is one of those items. We have affectionately named ours "Phteven," and he's part of the family now. Absolutely no signs of wear or staining after probably a hundred uses - getting pasta out of boiling water, scooping pasta that's been mixed with tomato-based sauce, using as a substitute for just about anything that requires a slotted spoon, and dozens of trips through the dishwasher. A fun gift idea for newlyweds or someone just starting out on their own, this little tool is actually useful for scooping up hot spaghetti, noodles, linguini, etc... The handle shape and the angle were well thought out, and the utensil is made for heavy duty action. The bright color is easily located because it stands out in a drawer full of other utensils. Aside from all that, it is just so darn cute! You can find so many fun gadgets for your own kitchen from FRED & FRIENDS.

It is a PASTASAURUS pasta server, I mean do you need another reason to purchase it?? You shouldn't but in case you do this past server is: flexible but tough enough to mix your pasta and sauce dishwasher safe and comes clean every time it's washed with no red stains or signs of wear mixing and serving works very well and if all that wasn't enough, it's adorable and hilarious to use and serve guests with.

I admit it - I'm a sucker for cute and kitchy kitchen gadgets. If it's in the shape of an animal or has a funny face, you'll probably find it in my kitchen. Animal House monkey peeler? Check. Alessi Magic Bunny toothpick holder? Check. Alessi Peppino pepper mill? Of course. Now I can add Fred Pastasaurus to my ever-growing list of novelty kitchenwares. The Pastasaurus is adorable, easy to use, and does the job. My only complaint is that the handle is rather thick, which makes it easy to hold but not so easy to fit into a crowded utensils jar. In fact, the entire implement is nearly twice the size of a conventional pasta strainer, so keep that in mind if you plan to store it in a drawer. It's such a cute tool though - why hide it away?

While purchasing this as a gift, I noticed I had bought this for our kitchen 12 years ago. 12 years! We have a pasta dish at least 3x/week, and it’s also used to get boiled eggs out of the pan most mornings—so this little guy has seen a LOT of meals. Still looks brand new! 100% worth every penny!

I have had this a good while now and it has withstood many washings and uses. It is a very durable product and hilarious. It is a lot better than having boring serving utensils.

Good quality, not at all flimsy or bendy. Looks great and is so funny to pull out if you have people over for supper, everyone (except maybe my mother) loves it!
