A: I live in a House that was built over a century ago, with 1950's era plumbing that has the temperament of a two year old. The plumber says, though it's dated, it doesn't really need to be replaced until it gives out-- a costly psrospect, when the time comes. After going a few rounds with it backing up, and paying my very nice plumber hefty fees for his services, I was about to break down and go for the update. Then I found this Scott product, and it is *all* that I buy now. Couple of years and counting, and the difference is amazing. I have had a minor back up or two, but nothing a good drain opener couldn't easily deal with. Usually a fifteen minute gel type will clear it. I also found a main line cleaner, (gallon size jug you pour in, leave overnight), I use a couple of times a year for maintenance, or if the gel doesn't clear it, and that has always taken care of any problem. However, incidents are now few and far between, and really no more than you'd likely have with any plumbing from time to time. And I haven't had to call the plumber since.The saving grace is this tissue breaks down much more quickly and easily than other types, and that makes all the difference with 'sensitive' plumbing. (I picked up some of the old brand once to fill in until my order arrived, and it was right back to the old problems within a week-- never again.) It is thinner than the hyped brands, it's one ply, not two. (Duh.) It is not coarse or rough, though, and use whatever you need, the rolls still last much longer. This is the product I'd buy now even it wasn't saving me a fortune and much angst over plumbing issues. It's practical, economical, and perfectly serviceable; it's toilet tissue, what more do you really need? However, if you have cantankerous plumbing, you do *need* this. I have it on Subscribe and Save now, so I don't have to worry about forgetting to order it. *Highly recommend.*

I have a lot of children and cats, other paper just didn't seem to last. These Scotts rolls are perfect, last at least a week on one roll. Now it's not soft or thick, but it gets job done with no clog problem.

Love this toilet paper!!! For me, it is the best one I found compared to all the other brands I have tried and I have tried so many over the years. Scott toilet paper just lasts longer compared to other brands and I have found that when I have tried other toilet paper rolls the family is using the rolls twice as fast, they just do not last in my home. With Scott Toilet paper that is not the case, one roll is usually double or more compared to others. For a family of 5 and lots of guests and visitors this is the only one I will purchase.Yes, other toilet paper brands can cost less but, ultimately I will be paying double the price, in the end it is just not worth it. I would rather spend the extra money and buy Scott because not only does it last longer myself and my family prefer the way Scott feels over any other brand we have tried. It is nice and soft and does not stick to you if you know what I mean.This package of 27 rolls is a great buy and lasts my family one month and then I just buy more from Amazon. Sometimes if Amazon has this item listed at a great price I will stock up and fill up our pantry full of Scott Toilet Paper. My family has bought 1-ply Scott for many years. It's great for people like some in my household who don't know how to conserve, not even for a single front wipe, even during 2020's toilet paper madness that made entire shelves and isles bare that many of us groaned, despaired, panicked, and joked and half-laughed over its rediculousness. Compared to the brands we sometimes had no choice but to use due to store stock, this 1-ply is still our favorite, as it lasts longer despite heavy usage and never clogs. Describing it, it's like if thin, dainty lace and Botan candy rice paper were crossed together, or you took apart cheap napkins or facial tissue so it was one layer. Not soft, but not too scratchy.Last time we were sick, an extended family member sent us a gift card and encouraged us to buy toilet paper and anything else we needed. It was the best decision ever.Each of these shipped boxes has 4 long, narrow packages of 8 rolls each, which means it's easier to stack and store them more to our space availabilities. It's a perfect amount of rolls per package, so we don't have to open one bulky package from the grocery store and stick it . We simply store it all on a standing rack that goes over the toilet. Altogether, buying this box lasts us about a month.

Believe it or not, I've actually bought Scott Rolls that were even thinner than this, I didn't understand it. It depends on where you purchase them.In comparison to other brands, this is still firm Toilet Tissue. Yes, Scott is thinner than I remember it years ago, but not to the point that I would nolonger purchase the brand. I still prefer Scott over all the others. The only other brand that's equivalent to Scott, in my opinion, would be Big Roll.This Toilet Paper is just fine. I 'would' say 'Maybe the price hypnotized me', but I've been purchasing Scott in this "level of quality" long before I learned about the prices on Amazon, and it never bothered me. I'm all about detail, and I'm extremely particular about things like my toilet paper. I'm very careless, and heavy handed, which is why I love Scott. This stuff is great! It is thin and the paper would not be soft except it is so thin. It's also strong, but falls apart quickly in water so it won't plug plumbing. Feeling the texture when I first bought it, I wondered, but my wife and I both love it now for several reasons: 1) If you tear off a longer strip than usual for ordinary two ply, it is actually MUCH more effective...a wad of it contours much better and it's strong enough to wipe well and does not leave fragments on you 2) no perfume 3) no risk of clogs or septic problems (if you're on septic...we're on sewer) 4) a real BIGGIE: Does not leave lint all over everything in the bathroom. Safer, you're not breathing lint, and far less messy than the fluffy stuff. 5) a roll lasts MUCH longer than the two ply stuff...especially the fluffy two ply stuff.It may take a week or two to get used to it, but when you do you won't want to use the regular junk again if you care about the issues I listed!
