1000-Watt voltage converter + sewing machine = happy quilter
Worked perfectly in New Zealand to run my US Janome 6600 & led light. I had no problems setting up and using it for hours. The only problem (my own fault) was that it had a US plug in cord, I had wanted one with a NZ cord. I had to purchase a universal adapter so I could plug it in, which I didn’t really like doing. It felt unsafe & like I was piggybacking extension cords BUT it worked just fine and did not overheat or spark. I would recommend product for any quilter wanting to use their US sewing machine abroad.

Think again before you buy it
So disappointing that this product that supposed to be used for a long time after six months stops working in a short -term shortening at home!!!

The converter works! But the indicator lights don't... :(
This converter saved me! I live in Uganda and bought an Instant Pot when I was visiting the US to bring back to Uganda with me. I'd purchased a voltage converter at the same time, but when I got back to UG it turned out the converter's wattage was too low (200W). Tried to purchase the right converter in Uganda, and COULD NOT find one. When a friend from the US planned a visit here, I asked her to bring me this converter. And it worked! Only problem is the voltage indicator lights on the front panel stopped working after one use. If it wasn't for that, I'd give this five stars.

Seller promptly replaced unit that stopped working after 5 months
I bought this in July. It stopped working in December. Amazon told me to contact the seller, since the return period has expired. The seller lists only a telephone number for contact. When the number is called, there is a recording saying the voice mailbox is full, and I am disconnected. I explained this to Amazon, but they say I should keep trying to call the seller. Update: After several more tries, I was able to contact the seller by phone. The person I spoke to was friendly and helpful, and it sounds like they may be able to replace the unit. I will update this review again depending on the outcome. Second Update: The seller provided a replacement unit. I had to pay the return shipping, but there was no charge for the replacement. The replacement has been working fine since I received it.
