Ottomanson Checkered 2x5 Kitchen Rug Runner – Non-Slip Entryway Rug

So the situation: I have all wood flooring (some kind of laminate/engineered stuff) which looks nice enough but isn't always practical--this stuff scratches and even chips if you so much as blink at it and unlike real wood you can't buff it out and/or refinish (as far as I know). Add a couple of cats that are forever tracking bits of dirt into the house on their grubby little paws (they are indoor/outdoor pets)... then toss in an office chair with rollers into the mix... a chair I use all of the time and so of course the cats hang out around there too... I've waged a valiant war, but simply cannot keep the floor clean enough often enough to prevent the rollers on that chair from scratching mercilessly every time the chair is moved. Daily sweeping/mopping/vacuuming just hasn't cut it and the floor is now showing signs of wear in that spot because of it. Yikes! So I needed something very low pile and stable to lay down for protection--a sort of chair mat--yet also wanted it to match the drapes and general color scheme of the room instead of just slapping down some drab thing. This little rug has nailed it! The cats took to it immediately and very much enjoy napping on it, the chair rolls over top of it nicely, it vacuums up quickly and I haven't had to battle "wheel crunch" on my poor wood floor since acquiring it. Plus it simply fits perfectly as the colors look absolutely lovely--not only "pops" nicely against the wood floor (a medium oak) but also complement my existing décor. Am really hoping it holds up for a reasonable amount of time--so far (maybe a month of daily use?) it is doing fine. Definitely satisfied with this purchase!

Ok so it’s not soft and it’s thinner than the rugs I got 3 years ago however for $20 it’s bright and stays in place so I’m happy. If you’re looking for soft and cushy this isn’t for you. I’m looking for a road for my dog to travel without him slip sliding :) it does the job!!

I really like this rug it came rolled up which I really appreciate I hate it when companies send rugs folded and the rug ends up being creased. The colors on this rug are beautiful colors are very rich and deep and true to the color that is in the description looks even better in person. It is a thin rug but still sturdy I did have an issue with the rug constantly moving around but that is to be expected with any rug I bought the Gorilla grip double sided tape for rugs and it kept it in place hasn't moved since. I also got the rug on sale so it was only around 15 bucks great price!

This rug is amazing. The color matches perfectly in my kitchen & it vacuums really well, it doesn't get sucked up & I vacuum it with a shark vacuum & my shark has a hard suction to it. I just put it on my lowest vacuum level setting. It's thick & durable & it stays in place & doesn't move while I vacuum. It's got a nice comfort feel to it. I'll be ordering another one for my hallway.

When I opened the box and unrolled it, I was very pleased with the design and colors. Then I realized it was too long for my small kitchen. What was I thinking when I ordered this 9' long runner? Rather than roll it back up, put it back in the shipping box and sending it back, I came up with the idea of cutting the runner length down to where it just extended under the sink cabinetry and was just short of the entry into the kitchen. I used a box cutter and a couple of boards to make the cut as clean as I could: One underneath the runner and the other used as a straight-edge above and securing the carpet so it would move as I cut. I trimmed the runner and applied Elmers glue to the raw edge and let it dry. The Elmers glue edge extends an inch or two under the edge of the sink cabinetry--if I had any sort of sewing ability, I would have made an finished edge similar to the original edges. Overall, it works, looks, and feels great in the kitchen. The cut piece measures about 32"x34" and, cut in half, is perfect as a floor mat at the washer and dryer in the garage. Now to order another size for the living room.

This rug came very quickly. It has a nice rubber backing which I have had on previous rugs. Last some time but after so many washes the backing wears. Good color. Decent thickness of carpet thread style BUT……. For some Reason the saran wrap holding the rug together was TAPED TO THE RUG. The tape WILL NOT come off. I have barely made progress with a box cutter scraping a little away at a time. It’s discerning and irritating.

The carpet arrived promptly. Unfortunately, it was too dark to match my decor. (The bills are dark grey). The seller (ITEC CANADA) gave amazing customer service from start to finish! They answered all of my questions immediately and made the return process extremely easy. I would definitely buy from this seller again!
