Kurt S. Adler Wooden Snowman with Tree Advent Calendar

We love this advent calendar! I never write reviews, but this one deserved a good one! I got this for my 3 year old son because once we put up Christmas decorations he thought every day was Christmas! We got this to help him understand that we have to wait for Christmas to get here and it has served that purpose! Every morning he asks to look at the number on my phone calendar so he can find it on the the little boxes and put up the ornament for that day. It’s been very educational and also very fun for him. He gets so excited!! The ornaments are small and he needs help to put them on the hooks, but that’s no big deal at all. Plus, it’s so pretty and we get a lot of compliments on it! This is a great buy and our favorite Christmas decoration!

The only concern I have is that the upper part could be a little fragile if handled roughly. To be fair though, I have five kids who all want to touch; they particularly like hanging the little ornaments each day. The material should be perfectly fine in most cases though. We had a previous calendar with similar doors, those would get stuck which eventually caused the door handles to pop off when we tried to open it. The doors on this all swing freely, that could be problematic if the kids get to hands on and tip it forward a bit and spill the ornaments. Its a cute design, take care of it and it should last.

Really cute advent calendar and my child loves opening each box each day. The little ornaments are cute and it's pretty well made. Only minor cons: there's only 12 unique ornaments, not 24 and it comes with them side by side (you get same one 2 days in a row, so shuffle them around before your kids see them) also the little hanging hooks are spaced a little too close vertically. Overall this is a nice product and will be a nice annual tradition as opposed to disposable calendars.

I was excited to find an Advent calendar that wasn't based on giving candy each day, but the quality is very disappointing. We had it five days before my 4 yo son said, "There are two 20s!" Then I noticed the 17 and 18 were reversed. I was able to order a replacement with the correct numbers, but the paint on one number is smudged. It's good enough for me to keep and my son loves it, but it's definitely not destined to be a family heirloom.

I bought this to help my toddler get excited about Christmas, and because I always loved our advent calendars when I was a child. I was slightly disappointed by the size of the spaces behind each number (as I had hoped to hide small toys/treats in there), but the ornaments are very cute and my son loved hanging them on the hooks. Within a day, one of the hooks had come out of the tree. Within a week, multiple hooks had come out of the top of the ornaments and some of the wood was breaking around the pre-drilled holes for them. I ended up having to throw the thing in the garbage I no longer felt comfortable allowing my son to help me hang the ornaments. We weren't overly rough with the tree or ornaments, just opened the doors and hung a new ornament each day. I was beyond disappointed with the quality of this product and will definitely shop other brands when I replace it for next year.

This is a great decoration to be used for many years. Love the quality!

It’s colorful, durable, and functional!! It’s a great value for the money. It’s enjoyable hanging the little items inside each compartment!

My mom had one of these when I was growing up. It was my favorite tradition, so I decided to get one. I feel that my moms is a little bigger but this one is still cute and the ornaments are good quality.

J’ai acheté ce calendrier pour mon fils. Très déçu. Plusieurs décorations sont identiques, et pour en avoir d’autres différentes, on doit payer un bon montant!

Llegó antes de lo esperado, huele feo como a humedad, trae muñequitos repetidos pero no se nota mucho... me hubiera encantado que por el precio que pagué, fuera de mejor calidad, las puertas 16 y 24... súper difíciles de abrir hay que usar algo para abrirlas, a la larga se va a maltratar... hubiera pagado máximo 500 pesos por esta calidad :(
