Heads will turn!
I had been looking for the perfect oxford/brogue for a good while now, at all the major big brands and fashion stores and all over the internet. I'm always wary of buying shoes on the net, because you never know quite what you're going to get. I've had these for about a week now, and I am in love with them. They are exactly what I was looking for, and the color of the cognac ones really is as vivid as in the picture. I've already gotten multiple compliments at work and from my family and friends, and I have also noticed strangers stopping mid-conversation to sneak a peek at them as I'm walking by.They are also far more comfy than I thought they'd be. I can wear them at work and walk around the city, and so far no painful rubbing or chaffing or anything digging into my heels. I have wide feet, and these fit me really well - so maybe they run slightly wide, I can't really say. I will say that the tongues of the shoes are fairly stiff and one of them is mildly annoying when I first put them on; also, the laces it comes with don't always stay tied.Other than those little things, these are exactly what I have been looking for.

Nice shoes, as expected
To clear this up first, the "chemical smell" that comes with the shoes is varnish. I recognized it as soon as I opened the package. The varnish is what makes the shoes shiny and.. well, varnished. Nothing abnormal for these shoes. Other than that, they were pretty much as I was expecting for the price, and seem cute and comfortable. I just got them today, so we'll see how comfortable they are as time goes on. I got them half a size bigger than my normal size, which is perfect for my right foot but snug on my left! Yes, I have lopsided feet. This is not a big problem, though. The only thing I have to complain about is that the opening is very large on each shoe, and I have very narrow feet, so there is some space between my ankle and the material. Overall, good shoes.

Won't Last Long
I was looking for shoes to wear to work during the winter. I work at a car dealership and do a lot of walking both inside and outside. These looked like they would be perfect. I bought these shoes despite the mixed reviews and decided to take a chance. Bad decision. I bought them in black and brown. I had more issues with the black ones than the brown ones but that's probably because I wore them more often. It started with the heel coming loose then the rest of the sole. I glued them back together a few times because hey, times are tough and I needed to make them last as long as possible. Then the entire sole cracked across the bottom where the ball of my foot is. Another side effect of the cheap plastic like soles they put on these shoes is they are *really* loud when walking on tile and make a lot of crunch noises when walking on pavement. Little rocks and pebbles tend to get stuck on the bottoms and since they are completely flat, it gets a little dangerous when going from outside to inside tile. They're also very slippery on flat surfaces in general. Spend a little extra money and get a higher quality shoe.

Pretty cute oxford style shoe.
I ordered a size 8, which is what I usually wear. They fit a little bigger than expected but still OK. I am not completely in love with these, but they are pretty cute. The tread on the bottom is a little weird, its not really rubbery.. more like plasticy.. if that makes sense. They are Ok, where I work, it is carpeted throughout the building so I don't really have an issue. They may be slippery if you are working or walking around on tile or linoleum, and they are kind of loud when walking (remind me of tap shoes a little lol) . The look of them is pretty cute, they are a little shiny though, that's Ok with me but just as a heads up.

Not bad
Arrived on time and in its box. The shoes fit me well, although they irritated the skin on the back of my ankle even while wearing socks. I originally bought this for cosplaying, but ended up liking the shoes so much that I wear them whenever I need to go to my mom's office. I feel they look like a very chic alternative to just wearing ballerinas with the black pants that I use for that. Not real leather (obviously), but good enough shoes for the price. I do not think these will hold up for everyday use.

Cheap, but cute
I bought these to wear to work, and I'm thinking I probably should have saved my money and bought a higher quality pair. The soles are cheap, thin and plastic, and they have almost no traction on slick surfaces. I have to wear shoe inserts if I want to wear them at work. I wear a size 11 and they're too wide for my feet and they don't seem to lace tightly enough. There are weird splotches of color on these shoes, and I noticed it right out of the box- like the color had rubbed off on certain parts? These are cute shoes but you get what you pay for, unfortunately.

you can slip easily in these shoes and they are a bit stiff ...
They're really cute shoes! The cognac color isn't as dark as it is online. Be careful walking, you can slip easily in these shoes and they are a bit stiff when you first wear them. You definitely need to break them in (I probably wore them 3 times before they felt okay), and the shoes has a strong chemical odor when they're new. They're not super comfortable so I wouldn't wear these shoes all day. Definitely worth its price though! These shoes really tie an outfit together, and I get many compliments whenever I wear them.

Decent affordable professional shoes!
These shoes fit as expected and look great! They're a little stiff and have a bit of a cheap feel, but are way better than I was expecting based on some of the reviews. I've had them for almost 6 months and they've survived a few days per week of NYC walking/commuting. I'm hoping they'll break in a little better with increased summer wear, but they're not painful or uncomfortable as is (with no-show socks). I also love the gold tips on the laces, definitely adds a little something.
