The LEGO BOOST Activity Book

I like that this book is intriguing to young minds (son is turning 7) but does not talk down to them. Lots of color images and step by step guides building on previous chapters. This will provide hours and hours of education and entertainment and does not require any additional stuff outside of the book and the Lego Boost set - which is also brilliant. When my son started building the robots he said - 'this is the best lego set ever' which coming from him is high praise indeed. In addition to the great projects in the book, it also inspires you to use some of what you have learned in your own builds. This would be good for boys and girls. A big fan!!

I bought the Lego Boost set, and was so frustrated by the app, that I almost sent it back. If you value your sanity, don't get Lego Boost unless you also get this book. Clear explanations of how to code, without having to learn everything by trial and error. Indispensable.

I like, it has extra explanation to learn more about robotics.

My grandson is seven. He absolutely loved this robot. He spent hours creating different versions of it. You will kill some batteries, but I would buy this robot again in a heartbeat

This helped my 8 year old son create a program and win at a tech fair. Going to state tech fair to compete!

El libro esta bien estructurado y los gráficos son buenos. La explicación esta bien detallada. La recomiendo para educadores de robótica.

Ok, ufficialmente l'ho comprato per mia figlia di 10 anni, ma in segreto era per me. Davvero ben organizzato, è raro trovare un libro che ti prenda per mano così bene e ti introduca al cuore della sua materia per i giusti passaggi, uno dopo l'altro. Dispiace che sia disponibile solo in inglese. Non per difficoltà di comprensione, ma perchè temo che sia uno dei segnali che i cervelli migliori se ne siano scappati.

Worth it for BrickPecker alone! (A robot bird that sorts Lego bricks by colour). Covers the mechanics of Lego structures, gearing and BOOST programming, stuff that just isn't covered by official Lego. (BrickPecker dosen't even use all the bricks - amazing!)

Je me sentais limité par les explications et modèles fournis par LEGO. Ce livre est vraiment un incontournable pour aller plus loin avec l'ensemble LEGO Boost. D'abord parce qu'il utilise un projet simple, au départ, et qui permet de comprendre l'ensemble des réglaiges et fonctions du HUB et des moteurs, allant de la traction à la direction, en passant par les mesures et les formules qui permettent de faire agir avec haute-précision les moteurs. De plus, il couvre un large éventail du potentiel et des possibilités que renferment Boost. Attention, des erreurs se sont glissées dans le livre. Heureusement l'auteur a un site Internet. En recherchant par son nom, vous arriverez sur la page de son site où il fait le tour des erratums. Une frustration de moins. Je vous recommande chaudement ce bouquin, même s'il n'est qu'en anglais. Richement illustré et documenté.

The book is a great companion guide to the Lego Boost set. It is very detailed with colour illustrations. This book is more suited for older children from age 12 onwards to adults. For those who want a book with explanations about the different Lego elements and also the programming icons used to program one's robots then this book provides that. The different builds in the book range from easy to challenging. Since the Lego Boost set does not include any manuals, this book is a must for those wanting more information and detail.
